stupid question about a 1jz

so im trying to buy a 1jz clip from driftmotion and dave told me that the prices keep going up cuz there getting harder to find, and the problem is im getting deployed to afganistan in november and most likey wont have the time to do replace all the worn out gaskets and other parts on the motor let alone get it in the car. so my question is should i buy it now or wait till i get back from afganistan to buy it. i ask because if i get it now it wont run till like june of 2010. so would that hurt the motor sitting that long or would it just let the gaskets dry up

Buy it and a new gasket set(~$170) let them both sit while you get deployed (thank you for your service btw!) And when you get back replace everything on the motor, throw it in and go to town! Also I recommend doing valve stem seals while its easy and accessible out of the car, that's the only issue I had with my 1jz.
