Do any of the head bolts on the 7mge protrude into the water jacket? I just got my ARP head studs and the directions are unclear on whether they do or not (i think they are generic). the set did not come with any thread sealer but idk if i need it or not. thanks in advance.

No sealer needed.

Keep in mind the studs MUST go in all the wya, and they are NOT to be torqued in (finger tight). If they won't go in all the way (likely) you'll have to clean the threads out with a tap (be careful, and make sure it's a blind tap)

Normally they come with the ARP lube that you put on the threads and nuts. If they didn't then get some or use oil, follow the torque specs with the lube or with oil. They are different specs.

lube goes on the top end, not the end that goes into the block...

should have come with directions for the torque spec...

yeah the spec is 80ft.lbs. if you use the moly lubricant that it came with (which i will). What exactly is a blind tap? Also i ran one of the old head bolts down each hole in the block 3 or 4 times in each hole to get the crap out, should i still tap it?

the tap does a better job because it has slits in between the threads to "capture" the shit... make sure you blow them out with a compressor, and i even squirted some alcohol down there to really clean them(and blew them out again).

Hmm if i put the lube on the end that goes into the block will this cause adverse effects? And I didnt torque them, only hand tight

Make sure they are cleaned out, the big thing is to make sure they are threaded in the whole way, without using force.
