View Full Version : Kaze Wide Body for MA70's?

So I've been looking for a wide-body kit in order to get more rubber under my factory wide-body 88, and so far the only one I've found is the Aero Craft Kaze kit (http://aerocraft-kaze.com/index1.html). It looks nice, but I can't find any details on it in English, and I don't speak Japanese. Does anyone have any details on this or know when I can find some?

Thanks!

Thanks Shaeff, I sent him a PM.
Anybody else have any ideas?

Acroth is the only guy, or at least was the only guy, in North America with one of these. From what I recall he had it shipped from Japan at tremendous expense. It might actually be cheaper to scratch build your own widebody.

Hmm. Shit. Well, hopefully he'll PM me back and I'll get a chance to talk directly with him about it. I'd really hate to have to build a set myself... they'd probably look like shit.

Acroth is not the only one w/ Kaze in the US.
http://www.cardomain.com/ride/708270

As far as where to get it... takakira ( I am not spelling it right here I always forget how to spell it ), used to stock Kaze and you could order from them.

BUT if they no longer do your best bet is to do what I did to get S2 available in the US.... talk to RHDJapan and ask them to list it on there site. They were VERY helpful for me getting S2 on their site and they even gave me a 5% off coupon afterwards. GL.

** Super 1337 edit** Here you go:

http://www.takakaira.co.jp/main.aspx Search by car. You'll see Kaze on the first page w/ prices.

Depending on what you are looking for, on RHDjapan.com, there is the s2 wide fender kit for both the front and rear. I know that it isnt a true body kit, as it only is just brings the fenders out 35mm on both sides in the front and 50mm on both sides in the rear (or something like that). I am not sure what it would do in terms of allowing you to add skirts and such, but I do believe the s2 body kit pieces will work with it. I am thinking about ordering the wide fenders for myself.

Is he the guy who used to have the AOL page with all the bodykits on it? AOL killed all their homepages last fall sometime, and that one went down with them, which is a shame, there was so much useful information there.

You can find a bunch of things here: http://www.takakaira.co.jp/main.aspx
Found the Stout hood. Carbon Fiber is only $1000 :aigo:

The AOL webpage is still viewable, just not all of the images are available anymore.

I've already got those images archived, but the majority of them are missing. I'm trying to contact the original author of the website to get a mirror of it posted up here.

If you can dig up the rest of the examples he had posted on that page, let me know and I'll put them together on a page and archive them here. (And keep a backup on another server. I hate it when information like this gets lost, especially when it's due to AOL stupidity.)

I remember looking into the kaze wide body awhile back and I priced the kit shipped here from japan and it came to around 8k in total iirc.

Then tell him to lower it and invest in spacers. Then it won't look so cheap.

I not only probably have all those pictures, but also probably at least 10 of every kit.. thousands of some. That and some of his information was incorrect :)... and I know the correct kits.

I already have tons of pics upped but majority on my old HD which I'll have go go through and sort through / up all of them. I've been thinking about making a whole new album together of just JDM Supra part pictures / cars. Just gonna take awhile.

Who has a good host? :).

If your not completly set on the Kaze widebody you could talk to the guy who did the project cherry widebody (forgot the guys name) but his widebody turned out really nice in my opinion.. But if you just want to fit some fat rubber under your supra you could just cut out like an inch around your fenders and then mold some flares on there... Thats probably what im going to do with my supra.. It sounds kinda ghetto but i have seen it turn out really nice on a couple mk3's.. Just some thoughts

How much space do these pictures take in total?

Well. I will try and make a day filled with putting them all together organized, and putting them one my current PC's HD. The problem is they are in one BIG folder full of everything including some porn images hah. I'm not sure on the size. I will do my best to get started this week on it. It's quite a task which is why I haven't got around to it yet.

Thank you for doing this.

As far as I'm concerned you can leave the porn in there. It's all the same to me.:boobs:

Well sense you mention it...he can't lower it cause his drive way is so damn steep he scrapes as it is...if he could lower it he would...in order for him to park it in the garage becide his family's mk4 he needs to stock ride height.

the reason i don't have spaces is cause i'm planing on re doing the car later down the road, completely reshaping the entire body to a one piece look. And ride height isnt important since i need to be able to go down my drive way. All i know if i have one of the most unique looking mkiiis on the east coast as far as i know. and the whole car seen isnt me thing anymore cause people dont know how to appreciate what others do for their cars. People do what they want to do to their cars and make them the way they want not what others want.

Also, getting my business up and running is more important then a car right now, after my business is up ill be able to afford my build up of a 2j and drop it in there and re-do the body again, meaning stripping the entire car and getting every piece cleaned up.

I'd rather hang out with a bunch of yuppy lambo/ ferrari owners then supra owners now-a-days cause at least they appreciate what others do to/for the car community. Dont get me wrong there are a few supra owners out there willing to admit that some1 else supra is better then their own. Until you can do that your a no body.

I don't believe that at all. Maybe people have different opinions on aero but who cares? If you like your car you like your car. Take a lesson from Lam. That guy is a hero to this community because he doesn't give a crap what people think about his car. That's more then almost the entire community could do.

The Supra community is fine there are people like this in every community get used to it.

In defence of chris...even I took offence to wisass's comment! Chris's car looks really damn good in person and looks far from cheap! I'm not a body kit fan but he did an awesome job on his and avoided the rice as much as possible! Yes it "could" use some things like a nice ic set up and more engine mods...but he has a plan and he is sticking to it and I respect that about him..he did what he could with the car at the time...so now he has a killer mkiii with a very rare body kit and beautiful paint!

To call it cheap is kind of a low blow when it's obvious it's beautiful...especially sense the person who called it cheap hasn't posted pics of his oh so glorious mkiii!

Eh that's just what you gotta get used to :P. People have their own opinions and love to give criticism. Half the people I talked to hated the Regulus kit but I didn't care what they thought I loved it. Most people on here have the same taste and that is kind of boring so he should be thankful he's got his own unique taste. I used to get really annoyed at the 89+ w/ a lip for lyfe crowd but I just let them say what they wanted :).

Why don't you hear about the Japanese MK3 owners drooling over our cars? Because they all look damn near the same.

Neodeuccio
