Turbo problems

Hey i just bought a 87 supra turbo it is my first supra i noticed that the turbo pressure gauge is reading 0. I dont know if my gauge is shot or the turbo isnt working at all does any one know how to tell?

The stock guage could be bad, easiest thing to do is buy a aftermarket guage. They arent to expensive and youll probably want one anyway. As long as you car feel that the car has a good amount of power when you accelerate, especially in higher rpms... then your turbo is probably fine. Plus it would run like crap or make a lot of noise or blow smoke if the turbo was bad.
