BOV on stock car?

On the stock set up, doesn't it recirculate the air back into the pipe between the AFM and turbo inlet? So if you put a BOV that expels into the atmosphere it'll run bad? Reason I ask, On a stock vehicle, what BOV will work with he AFM and stock ECU? Is there even a point to upgrading to an aftermarket BOV?
