View Full Version : Hesitating on launch question

We took my dad's car ('94) to the track Friday night, he ran a 14.6... eh. That was with a 4000 stall, 15 psi, hallow cats, and a weak launch. But the track was slippery and he would spin through second instead of building any boost. Unhappy with that, he now has the trick done where both turbos are on all the time, and it is a HUGE difference. We went out and ran it with my iPhone and got a 13.5 @ 15psi (had better traction on the road than we did at the track...) and my iPhone usually reads a couple tenths faster than what the car actually does, I tested it several times at the track before.

The only problem he has with the car is if he tries to launch off of the stall, it hesitates - usually three pulses - it tries to go then lets off, then tries to go and lets off, then tries to go and lets off, then finally it goes. They are real brief pulses, but it's enough to really mess up the times. Any one have any idea?

No the fuse is in, it will do it whether TRAC is on or off

The TRAC fuse still in?

The problem is solved after pulling the TRAC fuse, I didn't see that was what you were getting at when you typed that foreverpsycotic... but that was the problem.
