leaking antifreeze under the intake.

Today i floored her about 2 blocks pedal to the metal and when i got to work i saw steam rising from the hood.So then i looked the engine over and i see antifreeze under the intake on the driver side,and it's on the axle assembly as well.I was hoping that it would be a hose but their is'nt any around their.I checked the overflo and the antifreeze is gone do to i filled it under the line for MAX.Then i opened the cap and their is antifreeze in the radiator,but something was weird that after just driving her the upper radiator hose had no pressure cause i could squeeze it and the walls of the hose would touch.Don't want to admit it but it's probably a F@#%EN blown head gasket.What do ya think?and it did'nt over heat.

check it with a pressure tester for leaks

You are going to have to be a little more clear, im not sure i understand what happened. Pressure test your cooling system and the radiator cap, if there was no pressure in your system after driving there is either a leak or your cap is not holding pressure. If there's steam you obviously have an external leak, pressure testing will tell you exactly where it is.

If there's steam you obviously have an external leak, pressure testing will tell you exactly where it is.ok you know after driving your car for more then 30min,you ever feel the top radiator hose that leads to the radiator up top.it's usually tight and can't squeeze it cause it's full of pressure.mine was very soft like it was empty.could that mean bhg?

Sure about that?i did another test which was take the radiator cap off and then turn the engine on.last time i had a blown headgasket i did that and even with the engine cold antifreeze was shooting out the radiator,but this time it did'nt and i drove home from work and it takes me 15 minutes and she did'nt overheat,so i'm lost.

check the coolant lines going to tb and the bypass line coming outta lower intake runner near the valve cover oil tube going to block.. there small hoses but could be cracked.

all the hoses connect to some hard lines mounted on the block under the intake.. this all routes around the back to the other side where the water pump is.. its no big finding all this.

i did another test which was take the radiator cap off and then turn the engine on.last time i had a blown headgasket i did that and even with the engine cold antifreeze was shooting out the radiator,but this time it did'nt and i drove home from work and it takes me 15 minutes and she did'nt overheat,so i'm lost.I took christine out for a run to the store and back and when i parked her i opened her hood and listened for any boiling sounds in the upper radiator,and their were no signs as well as no overheating.I think when i put antifreeze in i over did it meaning i put coolant past the max line in the overflo and toped off the radiator aswell.I think that was the problem.

take the top radiator hose off of the radiator. put one hand over the radiator neck to close it off temp. put your mouth on the top radiator hose and blow. Do this with the car off and cold. have another friend while you are blowing look and listen for any noises if you see water comeing from anywhere thats there your leak is.

I had a similar issue with my supra ... I searched & searched & could'nt find any leaks .... any where ... My friend says to pressure test the cooling system , So I did .... I found a tiny pinhole leak near the top hose of the radiator . it only started to leak at 12psi , & was very well hidden untill the pressure test ...
So what Im saying ,is to pressure test anyways ... just to be sure

LOL blowing into the radiator hose is only going to tell you if you have a very large leak, i cant imagine getting any pressure into the system by doing that.

Hey he said it was a large leak if you can squeeze the upper hose and theres no presure on it then theres a large leak

That's EXACTLY what happened to my supra after i rebuilt it. There was no pressure on the hose and steam was coming from that side....

Mine blew 2 freeze plugs out... :[

ALSO what happened to me, there is a coolant hose or two inside/under that godforsaken intake manifold that connect to the throttle body. ;]

sorry to up these thread, but im having the same problem

exact mine is leaking inbetween the block and the intake. ive already replaced the hose and clamps and ive tried to replace the gasket and i used red gasket sealnt with it to. but it will leaks, what else show i do?

lol, the last engine in my supra blew the middle freeze plug which was rumored to be doing about 145mph when it happened. still got the block. crazy. cant complain tho thats why i got my ride for 800 bucks.
