went to the track this weekend with darin and a few other friends.
my best run was 10.3@147 this was on W/G spring so 21-22psi

i didnt have time to mount my real tires so i was on shitty 26x11.5 et streets. so traction for me was really limited, darin has the boost down to 8.8psi off the line and it still spun like crazy.

the car is making some good power if you check the mph, at only 22psi on boost i am trapping 147 with a 1.7 60ft.

with a good 60ft at the same boost i should be able to go 9 @150 i still have alot more boost and spray... second time to the track with the car so i am happy i got to drive it there, make over 8 runs, and drive i back home.

i still have a few other vids to post, so i will have to upload them.

new vid added, same boost, same everything, my speed sensor stopped working so i was testing it out to make sure it worked.
next time out, im going 9's for sure... i am turning the boost up and i have my new tires mounted.

Roughly how much power are you making at 22psi?

Thanks, and your car sounds awesome..............

im running the 6spd w/ tilton triple carbon clutch.. i love it i have tried alot of clutch setups from 5spd to 6spd and this is by far the best.. its making about 720-730@ 22psi

Tein Flex suspension is on the car.

yes, my rev limit is set to 8300 right now. it still makes power past that, but thats where its set currently.

we were going to go to tampa, but when we heard that there was a private track rental we decided to go to that.. better track, more runs, less waiting, closer to home, etc..

my car is always on c16. so for the most part, its always on full kill, i didnt build a 1000hp car, to detune it to 500 to run on pump gas...lol..

but it was on c16, just the tires i was running didnt like anything over about 750whp. so it just spun and you can see from the vid, it was all over the track. when i get my new tires hopefully i can hook at where im at, and turn the boost up. i still have about 20psi and 300hp worth of nitrous to use.

jeff, get your pos ready for texas! hahahah

I was gonna ask the same question...

2jzmk3
11-25-2008, 10:20 PM
i will worry about it when i start going faster, right now that is priority. thats just something that needs to be bolted on.

duane, stop worried about looking good, and worried about getting your car the track.. lol

dont worry it will be on there for texas, and the texas mile. 27in tires will be here next week, and back to the track we go.

wheels are bogarts 15x10 7in backspace i have to use a spacer for it to clear, and you have to roll the fenders.

3.54s make the 6 spd gears useable. Unless if you rev to 9500 rpms then 3.73s might be useable.

Wrong!!!!! The 3.54 make the 6 speed more usefull, The higher the number the shorter the gears..... The MKIV have 3.10 final gear ratio & the JDM have a 3.23...

lol.. yea you guys didnt think i could drift down the 1/4 mile..hahaha. did you guy get and video? i have video, but i dont want to post that..lol

actually when i had the 3.73 gearing in there it wasnt bad. with the 3.73 gears i finished in 4th at about 8300rpm with 26in tires with the 3.54 i finished at about 7600-7900 rpm with the same size tires. it helps i am sure, but it wasnt to bad, for me at least.

had to add a funny vid for jeff and jeremy

this was the last track day for the year, so there was alot of cars out. and alot broke, so there was 5-6 of us that went out. mario (sc300 76mm) tissimo, victor and denny from f&h, nero (porsche) aaron, etc.

well the slick tire cars didnt start running until 930-945 (track opened at 6) this was due to to many cars breaking and stuff. so my first pass with the new 27' hooisers, 13.5psi in the tires, so i ran, launched ok hit second and it faced the wall. as you can see. i still has it at 8psi leaving 21psi in first and i tried to raise it slightly to 25psi in 2nd-4th..
i need to raise the boost back up on the anti-lag since the new tires bite much harded and made it bog.

the next time we got to run the track was already closed and we were in line so we went. track was wet from dew settling on the track. Mario who usually runs pretty consistant 9.5's to 9.7's went a 12.7.. so i was really nervous.
i checked the tire pressure and it was really low, about 10psi... i lowered the boost back to 21 and went for it.

well back to the drawing board..

here is what the 27's look like.. forgive the dirty car, havent washed it in a few weeks.
