View Full Version : Can't figure out this plug 1jz!

Hey guys I have this plug on my harness and I have no idea where it goes. I've got circled in on the TSRM with my beautiful MS Paint skillz (don't hate).

As it says on your diagram, that's the map sensor plug. The map sensor is just a small plastic box with a vacuum port on one side and that plug on it. The 1jz won't run right without it.

Hey thanks for the reply! I kinda figured it was important, any idea where I can one of those? Or a picture to it?

Yup that is a map sensor you need. The 1Jz requires it, along with the JDM spec 2JZ's

Hey thanks for the picture! I know I have one somewhere from a JDM 2j. If worse comes to worse, is there somewhere I can get one from?

The one I have pictured is for sale on Driftmotion for 125.00, I am not trying to advertise here, I do know that is against the rules, but that is where I got the picture from.

Curious, what swap are you doing a 1jz? 2jz? and what car did the motor come from, Chaser, Supra, Soarer, Astiso ?

I'm doing a 1j into a s14. My personal car is a MKIII with a 2jzgeT. Oh where is it located at (the map on the car) is on the chassis? Or is it on the engine itself?

In a JZA70, that would be mounted to the firewall area on the right side of the engine when looking at the motor with the hood up.

That plug is located on the wiring hanress, the snesor itself is located on the chassis though, its a 3 wire plug. You will need one though. I still need one as well.
