so i just swapped my 1jz and i'm not getting spark. the wierd thing is that when i first turned the car over it started right up. so i turned it off to check a few things and the car wont start, it's getting fuel but no spark. i'm told that the coil packs are supposed to have 12v on both wires i only get 12v on one wire (the one from the harness 12v not from the ignitor) the wire from the ignitor has no voltage. i know i'm getting fuel because after a while of fustarted(lol) cranking the car got flooded with fuel and wouldnt turn. i pumped out all the fuel and still no go. could my ignitor be messed up? or is it more likely that i have a bad ground? my motor is not really ground to the chassis although the harness is. would that cause it not to have spark? any help is appresiated thanks!!

See if you have any codes.
I hate to say it but check your ECU, that happened to my friend Mikes car. It fired right up the first time, but then it died the 2nd time and the ECU was toast.

yea i was suspecting that too, so i opened it up and it looked good no broken path ways or leaking caps but you never know right? i have to find another car to test it on. i'm still suspecting my ignitor tho because my injectors are opening.
but on another note my check engine light doesnt come on ever even when i have the key on the on position (checking at the ecu, not he dash)

I have an extra ignitor I can sell you, if you interested lmk. But I would make sure that the ignitor is your problem first. Hopefully somebody local can test out your ignitor and maybe your ecu.

*problem solved, just thought i'd post this up as refrence, my 1jz wouldnt start because i hooked up the power to the ignition to a power source that switchs off while cranking (car is 240sx) it's all gravy now! thanks for the help.*
