Well since this is afterall the Turbo technical subforums....

I have created a spread sheet that sizes a turbo to an engine (incase of this spreadsheet FOUR engines) and graphs it to a couple (8 actually) of the ball bearing series turbos from Garrett/Honeywell.

The spreadsheet is locked so anything in light green can be changed but the orange portions can not.

READ THE INSTRUCTIONS!

The graphs start from a smaller GT3072R which is a real nice turbo for 400 hp (always measured from the CRANK not the wheels) to a GT47 for giggles! :)

Any inputs, thoughts, complaints etc. Post them here.

edit 9-29-2008: Added the T04z per IJ.
edit 10-15-2008: Added a 2nd point for lower RPM to guage when the turbo in question will surge.
edit 10-15-2008: Found that the first set of VE values where unchangeable.. Changed them so they are editable.

That's really well done.

Needs a metric mode though :)
