Question is. Can you change the exhaust housing from an on-center one to a tangential one? I've had the maxx T4 adaptor which requires an on-center housing - but now I'm using an ss autochrome one. Can any problems occur by doing this. Just want to know.
i am running a turbonetics T60-1. And will remeasure the A/R on it (if I can just buy the housing to make it work)

Yes you can switch the housings.
You need to be careful not to bend or scrape the turbine wheel blades when doing so.
You also need to make sure you match up housings for housings.
For example: Do not try and make T28 exhaust housing fit on a To4 P trim turbine.
Physically it will be impossible, but you also don't want a housing designed for an P trim turbine on an O trim turbo.
