My 1jz supra started having problems today and the cel came on. Problem is it won;t let me pull the codes. When I jump te1 and e1 nothing happens, just a solid cel. Any ideas of what to start checking?

Had same problem turned out that the little metal clip that you must have contact wiht in the e1 spot had gotten pushed so far down that the wire wasn't making contact so i used a small nail to touch it. take a flash light and look down both holes and make sure the little metal clip hasn't gotten pushed to far down.

okay, somewhere to start. I think it's a ground or loose wire. I get power outa te1 and e1 grounds so IDK. Sometimes the light will momentarily go away car drive fine and then the light comes back and car runs like crap.

nope, nothing in the diagnostics slots. Regardless of engine problems when you you jump te1 and e1 it should flash in the dash, right? When I just turned the ignition on it flickered a few times and then went constant cel?
