Alright. well to Start I just acquired a '92 Teal Metallic Supra Turbo 5-Speed, Shadow Grey Leather, fully loaded Supra w/Sunroof.
Now this car is pretty mint, there are a few scratches, but that is okay, there is No* Rust so that is key.
When i got the car the trunk as you can see is cut out* with no gas tank or fuel pump, I did get a fuel cell that I will be placing in it. Also the engine harness was hacked a little bit so i fixed it, i then was plugging it in and realized some of the in dash plugs were not matching correctly. i did some extensive reach and it seems that it is off a 89-90 supra Grey plugged harness.
If non of you know the '89-92 harness is NOT the same. 89-90 and 91-92 are different at least for the in dash plugs. So I am looking for a 91-92 harness right now. If you have one for sale please contact me.
The engine in this car is stock I presume and has been sitting int he car fro awhile. Right now I am trying to build the car to run, but I just may rebuild the motor and try to archive more horsepower from it.
The best option I think I have right now is for me to just get this car running and then rebuild it. I would like to see if the block I have is a 89+ or not.
pic's will be up soon.

LOL, I had the same problem with my 89 harness trying to put it on my 91. Sweet find on the teal, I wish there were more down south when I was looking for one, its become my favorite color. Good luck on the build, I will be looking for updates.

As I recall, the only difference inside the block is the crank. The later cranks are counterbalanced on every cylinder.

The latter blocks have more ribs if i recall as well, and or are thicker

Okay here are the pic's. I am going to start underneath the car making sure everything is sound until i order my harness. I want to figure out how I am going to drop the fuel cell in and at what depth I would like to have it.
I may even be getting a new turbo I have to talk to someone so that is on hold* right now. As you can see the trunk is gone, i didn't do it the last woner did * dumb bo!

So basically we're both left with a canvas to fill in here :'] I plan on centering the tank, I am going to measure how far down the stock tank sits just to get an Idea. I now will not have as much weight over the rear wheels, and compaired to the 18.5 gallon tank that is use to being back there I won't even have to much weight but I am sure the car can still put down.
115L tank ;)

Ha very nice, I did see this, so what are the advantages of propane?
104 octane and 1/3rd the price of good gas.
It's NOT a propane tank any more though I'm back on petrol so converted it.

Ahh, well 1/3rd is a very VERY good reason to convert the car to that, I guess I would have to do research and how to use propane and how it reacts with a motor and how much to use, again you did some extensive research or have knowledge of this, gasoline here right now is $3.77 a gallon and was $3.56 the other day. I am in the process right now of buying a harness ( a new one ) which I do hope will cost no more then 500.00 right now, a new harness though is always a good idea if you don't want any problems.

Well tonight I just removed the rear differential. Wow one bolt of the bottom of the rear differential would NOT come out, I used some PB-Blaster and let it sit, I came back, and then wow I could not believe it.. I broke it loose, and now the differential is out, I am trying to grind off surface rust on the rear carrier.
Now that this is out I can do everything else back there, the rear end that came out was a LSD 3.73, and I got a Spare one with the car when I got it. It's not oily and looks nice, and I just checked it, and it's a 3.73 LSD as well, now..
The one I just took out of the car both output shafts could be pulled out about 1/4 of a inch on both sides and the differential was a little hard to spin.. Anyhow it's being replaced anyhow so it's not really a big deal, but if anyone would like to comment on that, it would be great.
Also i noticed in the engine bay I have a reply Cont. Cleaner, that is exactly what it is called and iv' noticed that it only comes on the '88 and '97 Turbo Models. The engine body harness, not the engine to ecu ( still do not have that ) has a plug for that relay cont. Cleaner. I am sure it will work sill the harness.. I just hope that body harness was never changed. I got the car without both inner fenders on the front.. so it's very possible it was switched.. out for a older one. I re wrapped the harness anyhow so it looks brand new. I guess I do not know how to check if that body harness is any different but it may be. I tried putting in my '91 AUTO trans body harness and no electrical inside the car worked like it did with he harness that was with the car..
Anyhow the Rear end the bolts beside that one were basically loose.. so someone had done this before and put it back together.. NOT GOOD THOUGH> also i took the center caps off my rims ( stock TT wheels ) and two lugs were missing * GREAT * and even better the lugs were torqued to no more then 10 ft-lbs?.. Wow lets try to kill me some more? So now I have to do a full body, engine, brake, electrical inspection.. just so I do not get killed with someone elses mistake. Always feels great doesn't it.
Well, right now I am going to continue to grind the little surface rust off the bottom. i am really anal about this car.. The udnerside was undercoated very well, and no problems there.. but I just want to ensure this car last a very long time...
There is more to come...
be back later.

Okay well!!! The rear differential is off and the new one has been filled 75-90W royal purple..
Now the rear cradle as you can tell is now painted and has no real bad surface rust.. I am trying to take care of the under body.. The old dif is hard to turn and this new one is very smooth, i still stay with a 3.73 lsd Differential though.

have you tried calling jeff watson at champion toyota in houston, tx? 1-800-327-2087 is his number and last time i checked on a 89 turbo engine harness, it was 400. this may save you some cash.
also, you can call Elmhurst toyota, but i don't know thier number in my head.

Oh thanks man, but I already called and they couldn't get my '92 one because they run a specific vin for each harness, lucky me I have a dealership in Texas where a buddy of mine works at that ordered me the last one available in the world from Japan.
I am very lucky I must say.
^ It's NOT actually the "last one" ;)
If they get another order they'll remake the harness but it takes 6 weeks instead of 3. (I've had them do this for other parts)
