Hey guys I've got my 2jz-get w/ 7m electronics. I was having a few issues with random codes and knock sensors. I've taken care of all that stuff finally and rewired my knock sensors good to go now!

I took the car out on a test run, and if I go WOT, it'll sputter around 4500 to 5500; jerking real bad, and the CEL light comes on. I let off the throttle or I shift, then the CEL will go away.

Currently I'm thinking that is the way it measures knock and retards timing; but I'm not sure, I was hoping someone could chime in

What code does it spit out? if you dont shut down the engine it should't erase any codes.

That's the thing, the code doesn't stay! The CEL comes on as I near the 4500 range at WOT, stays for a split second, then shuts off. During this time the car buckles, shakes and stutters.

If I ease her up there with partial throttle she's good to go, the moment I go to WOT she'll spit and sputter and the mysterious CEL will come on, then I'll let off, then the CEL goes away

sounds like fuel cut, or lack there of. That psi boost are you running when this happens and if you have a wide band is it leaning out? Back when I had the 7m, overboost and lean would do this but could never get the code it kept throwing.

what's fuel cut set at? 8.5 psi? I'm not really sure cause my boost gauge isn't working right now. I'm waiting for my STRI one to come in...

Sounds exactly like fuel cut...

...or detonation.

dang man, I don't know how I'm getting fuel cut, because dok33 and I are pretty much running the same setup! He's running eleven psi without FC, well I don't know how much boost I'm running either but then again I don't have a gauge.

It doesn't feel like 11 psi to me though...

Fuel cut is based on the amount of air over the AFM, not PSI. Don't go by the butt dyno and get a gauge...

You'd probably be better to post this in the 7MGTE sectionas the electronics are 7M...

Yeah I'm just anxious, yeah I guess it'd be better to go over to the 7m section.
