View Full Version : 1JZ idles high when hot

Ok my 1jz started idling above 1000 RPM after warming up. It idles at 800 when you start it and the temp is below 180F. as soon as I start driving and it gets up to 198-200 it starts to idle between 1000 and 1300. On hot days it might get up to 1500 RPM. It seems like it depends on temperature. What can influence the idle like this? i hope its not the ECU. Thank for the input.

maybe your cold start is stuck???

Mine did the same thing, after its warm adjust the screw on the tb to lower the idle it has an allen head on it and adjust it to where you want it. After I did that it still idles around 800 when cold and stays around there under 1k when hot.
