I just picked up my engine harness for my M800 today and it came out perfect. I got to thank Ryan Carwin @ Danzio Performance Engineering for the wonderful wiring job. It will be going in the car this weekend and he will be down to do the last little bit of wiring on the car. On to the pics. Oh and for those wondering the harness has about $2k into it.

cursed photobucket! (No access of PB at work)

but 2k for a MoTeC harness for an M800 which does not have Autosport connectors ANYWHERE?

Serisouly? 2k?

What wire did they use? M22759/91? For that price, they better used that instead of the M22759/32 (Also known as Spec55) which is what MoTeC loves for some reason.

Im not sure what you mean by no autosport connectors. There are 3 that I count. Only one in the pics as the one for the CD1-8 was not yet installed in the photo and I didnt take pics of the sub harness for the large power wires for fans etc... I didnt actually spend 2k. I spent $1500 not including labor and am building a custom exhaust manifold for a friends race car to cover the labor.

Good looking harness, congrats. I build harnesses just like that, and don't consider $1500-$2000 out of line. All new connectors, at least 1 autosport connector, plus good wire and Raychem and it adds up fast. Not to mention a fair wage for someone skilled to wire it all up like that.

Hell, a proper crimper for some of those pins runs a few hundred dollars, so that price isn't out of line.

It does add up fast, thats for sure. I ordered new connectors from toyota as well and it was $175 for just the coils, tps and cam position connectors.

Nice harness. You get what you pay for when it comes to harnessing. Thats a quality job.

This thread is a little above my pay grade :)

Did you supply all the connectors and specify exactly what you wanted, or did you say "this is what I have" and get that as a final product?

Awesome looking piece regardless!!

No, they supplied all the connectors. My friend built it so we discussed the plans for the car and I told him I wanted no corners cut. It cost alot to do it this way and there are less expensive alternitives but in the end I am very happy with the way it was done.

You won't regret it. We did the same thing for the drag car with the Motec:

You really can't see the harness at all in these pics. We wanted it to look clean, so only the necessary wires are there.

finally got around to seeing the pics.Nice harness.

The circular connector is definetly not a Deustch Autosport connector but judging by the color either ITT or Cannon. Great plugs and I see a threaded colar on the male end. In case you ever want to EMP/EMI/nuclear harden the harness. :)
