There are a few Teal 92's running around town. When I worked at Toyota we had 3 customers with 92's, one was a leather Auto Teal and the other two were Leather 5spd's one black and one red I belive.
At any rate you have a rare car!

ok well ive been having some heating problems, my car would slowly overheat and get 3/4th up the gauge, and on friday on my way to my GF house the car got really hot! i had to pull over. Mind you i took everyones advice and replace the thermostat and fan clutch. i did it and my car still over heated.
now the car is sitting infront of my GF's house and i found the problem. the thermostate was stuck closed! it frooze it was -18 out friday morning and i had to park my car outside on the street. so now im just going to leave it till it stops snowing, and replace it again and the fluid again.

ok well ive been having some heating problems, my car would slowly overheat and get 3/4th up the gauge, and on friday on my way to my GF house the car got really hot! i had to pull over. Mind you i took everyones advice and replace the thermostat and fan clutch. i did it and my car still over heated.
now the car is sitting infront of my GF's house and i found the problem. the thermostate was stuck closed! it frooze it was -18 out friday morning and i had to park my car outside on the street. so now im just going to leave it till it stops snowing, and replace it again and the fluid again.
but here are some pictures the night i replaced my thermostat and i got stuck it the snow infront of my GF house!
well christmas eve im hoping on finishing my caddy for my DD and then im going to be parking her till it gets warm out to work on her. i just hope i didnt BHG when it overheated! but we'll just have to wait and see.
MHG are tough but you can always check the oil.

The one time I drove the Supra in the snow was fine with snow tires. I tried once with the summer tires and slid down my drive way to the snow bank and there is stayed for a week lol!!

The Trac and stability control on the g35 are nice, take a bit to get used to. With it lowered its not getting around too good right now, it just pushes a wall of snow. It dose keep going at least and has not got stuck yet.

here it is car is off the road offically. i started my car in the morning and i warmed it up them all of a sudden i thought it was a BHg cause there was coolent pour and hising out of the supra like a fountain! i shut her down and opened the hood and i found that the bolts holding the thermostat housing is gone and pour for the cap!
so im parking her to fix all the little things that need to be done and doing a IC pipe set-up with that 24x12x3 IC, and also trying to make a mk4 TRD tower bar fit as it was welding in half and i test fitting but doesnt clear the hood :(.

hey nope not yet still parked also, the reason is cause i bought brads turbo 57trim, i sent it out for rebuild and im going to be picking it up in calgary since in there for a wedding next week with a few other parts.
as for updates nothing really new,
just ordered a few parts:
-mishomoto rad
-fresh ct26/57T garret internals oil cooled no water!
-RX7 550's
besides that the car runs great just leaking coolent compression is good id suspect a BHG or a pin hole leak. stock turbos smoking like a chimney!:3d_frown:

Your new turbo is significantly larger than a 57trim so that would make sense. Getting rid of the CT turbine housing in favor of a T4 is a good idea if you are looking to make power. What size turbo are you looking at getting?

my car was sputtering and cutting out at 3500-redline at 11psi it was cause it was running crazy rich that i had to pull fuel from the safc.

well,
i went to the track friday night, not going to post my 1/4 as it was very horrible!
i was having issues with cutting out past 4500/bogging with a 4500rpm launch and also a really bad slipping clutch!! on my slowest run i managed to do a 98mph shifting at 4300rpm and a bad launch.
saturday i did a full tune up. new KN filter/KN oil filter and new NKG iridiums. and mobil1 oil.
after the tune-up my car idles alot better, and i can not pass 4500 and take her all the way up to red line. car pulls like no tom and after a safc tune WOT my AFR is at 11.2 was at 9.4 and idle was before at 13.5! lol my guess i had fouled plugs
saturday night went for a cruise and my friend with a soarer with a 1jz full 3" exhaust intake, and boost at 15psi. we did a 3rd gear pull and i was 2car lengths by the end of 3rd and kept pulling on him in 4th!! i totally thought he wouldve left me.
will post pictures soon on the engine bay.
my rear main seal is badly leaking and is in need of replacement and im planning on upgrading the clutch also got any good daily clutchs thats good for track use also?

Hope your garage is heated, it's cold out! How come your oil feed line wraps around the turbine like that? You don't want the rubber inside that line getting hot and degrading/clogging the line.

unfortunately the garage isnt heated:cry:, yeah we did as much work as we could with the doors closed and a mini heater on to keep a bit of heat in,
as for the oil feed, it doesnt wrap around the turbine theres just alot of slack that i just wrapped it around, it stays on the outside of the turbo cause i didnt want to run it through the manifold.

the arp mainstuds dont really give you a set of where the studs go cause they also come with 2 bolts which should go on cap## as its for the oil pump line to clear! i figured that out at the end of the night when i decided to put the oil pump in!!!

update:
i got to work again today got some hours on the motor ran into a few problems, like i forgot to put the studs in before the washer. mount the head and didnt have a proper sockey my short 12pt 14mm was way to short.
also mounted the fuel rail, heads studs on but not torqued down yet, cleaned the cooling hardlines, put the turbo lines, just needs a good cleaning.
gte cams are in until i find a cressida throttle links/ and bracket cause it hits the pvc line on the cover, also have to polish up the front timing cover and put in a oem timing belt for now until i can afford a greddy t-belt and titan cam gears.
heres a few pictures from earlier.

Is the braided line -12 or -16
Also have you test fitted to see if it will clear the lower runners and stock alternator bracket and alternator in stock location or are you running a different setup?
Just curious as I have been tinkering with the hose in this area and keen to see what the possibilities are
arizzle
01-17-2010, 11:51 AM
Alright ill look into it!
And the braided line mine clears the alternater bracket but 1 of the 2 bolts can't go in. So it'll b mounted with 1 nut and 1 bolt. Ill test fit it tonight and take a picture of how it'll sit.
But I'm planning on running a alternater relocater to clean up the top end of the motor.

i torqued the head down to 90lbs 4 passes w/ arp moly lube as instructed.
installed the cams, timing belt and timed it, installed one valve cover ( still need to polish other!) , picked up a cressida throttle link to run the NA covers with a gte Intake, installed the rear main seal. and remove the spark plug valley cover to clear up space to install my coils, installed power steering pump, lower rad hose w/ t-bolt clamp, moved the AN fitting for the valve cover to my NA cover.
as of now thats all i can think of!
i still havent installed the oil pan but should be in the next couple days then i can work on the wiring next and finish up polishing misc parts.

well been busy trying to get this motor together,
i got the harness on and soldered the injector plugs and also cleaned up the wiring by shortening unnecessary long wires. ran the injector clips from under the rail instead of on to clean it up.
ive decided to not run the NA covers as i just go to lazy to get the 1 polished it was in pretty bad shape and its going to need alot of sanding!
im not running just a clean set of GTE covers/ painted the intake manifold / all new clamps / new hoses/ and a few little things here and there to clean up the motor a bit,
also i will need to run a alternator relocater as the AN fittings not letting run the alternator at the orginal spot so i guess thats the down fall of it! but it also clears the intake and such.
parts i will be ordering in the next few days,
-megan rad
-FPR aeromotive
-walbro 255
-few more misc gaskets
-cps cover
