Well i didn't have the best launch, could of launched better. He was stick and so was i. His window was open and he says hey want to run? I nodded as i flipped to my high setting 10psi on stock turbo and intake only and with somebody else in my car . He had a nice launch and i didn't. We raced only till the end of second maybe beginning of third gear. I was at his bumper the whole time and i know i could of beaten him cause third gear really shows the horsepower. But, again i hung with his ass and i think he was very suprised. If my friend wasn't in the car it also might of been a different story.

Definatley get an exhaust and you will beat him. I have custom from elbow back. But if I could get a new exhausr it would be the BIC DDP and an RSR gtII cat back. with a test pipe of course!

BIC DDP for sure, then just get a good local place to fab you an exhaust from mandrel bends the rest of the way back. Don't even both with a test pipe if you don't need cats in your area.

Get a nics exhaust and a cold air intake and you should have no problem pulling from a G35. They are bigger and heavier then a 350Z and I've beaten the only two I've raced. Keep up the good work.

i need my cat :( thats the only problem i have to deal with emissions. So what do you suggest now. I definantly want stainless and i haven't seen a dual tip stainless catback. I would get hks but its not stainless, i have on my 240sx and i love it though.

You like dual tips look at the region section under Northwest Region in the Centralia section I belive you'll see the back of my car Burnt Orange Supra Like those dual 3" tips. Sounds beefy too the Supra that was behind me couldn't hear his own exhaust or car for that matter. He said it sounded like a roar of a V-8. I have a full 3" from my turbo back(down pipe stainless) with a Magnaflow high flow cat. As far as having to have a cat, get a test pipe. A pipe you can bolt into where your cat goes when not taking emissions and bolt your cat back when you do. Tricky I know. Good luck, found the muffler on Ebay for about $45. For that matter got my full system on Ebay minus 3" piping for $150 + $150=$300 for install and piping. Good luck

i have a k&n and i think maybe the stock recirculating valve isn't working correctly. When i put on the intake you can really hear the turbo, but i can also hear the sound of the recirculating valve also, like it was releasing it to the atmosphere like an aftermarket bov. Should i be hearing that tssssssssshhhh sound or do i have a leak in that crappy valve.

Pull off one of the hoses to your by pass valve and try to blow through it. If you can, it's dead.

I have a Greddy Type-S Bov which vents to the atmo. so all I hear when I shift is a whooshhhh followed by a loud ass whistle. :bigun2: 350Zs

so if you can blow through it am i losing boost?

This is correct. Pickup a Bosch unit for a Saab or Porsche if you want a cheap replacement, or a real BOV from whoever you prefer, and it'll get better. :)
