My Head is off

Ok so my head is off and my valves dont look too well, anyone has any idea why they look like this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

oh i failed to mention that its only the exhaust valves that are lke that!!!!!!!

Almost looks like it has been sucking on some unfiltered swamp water.


Hard to say with the low Q cell phone pics. Looks similar to oil and antifreeze burning however.

Was gonna say the same thing. Almost every set of ex. valves I've seen had hard white carbon(?) buildup. I found it WAY too tiring to try to grind it off, so I just got new ex. valves.

Steel bristled brush worked great for me...

i soaked mine in atf overnight, scraped it with a blade, brushed it with a wire brush, and still they had build up on them

one of those wire brushes for use in a drill (all the bristles sticking out one end, not around the edge) makes short work of it...

Clean them up and check for excessive wear on the face and stem.
