help with the bolt of the camshaft bearing cap.

so i was installing my camshaft and i was tightening the bolt with my hand. As i was tightening the bolt the bolt was just turning but not tightening. I took it out and it stripped the threads in the cylinder head. So my question is, do i rethread the hole where the bolt goes or is there any other solution?

i had same problem on old head i had... i used VW CV joint bolts with 2 washers... worked fine...

Helicoil would be the RIGHT way....

Helicoil...but be carefull how deep you drill. The aluminum is relativly soft and it's easy to go too deep.....drill sloooooow.
