How do you know when your map sensor is bad? Even more, what or how does the car perform when the map sensor is bad? Also I got my motor in a non clip form. Where is the Map sensor suppose to be mounted at anyway?

I finally got my car running but I have a choking rpm problem. It only happens when you first his the throttle at ANY RPM. I thought it was the TPS but if it was happening at any RPM even past 4K then no way it could be the TPS right?

Lastly is the hose coming off the Map sensor suppose to plug here? It looks weird.

Cool thanks. I searched but the results were too ugly.

Actually I've been meaning to ask that as well. Does the MAP sensor plug into the manifold there? I had to obtain it separately from my motor so I never saw it attached.

yes, its a filter to smooth the signal out.

Why can't it be the TPS? What you're describing sounds exactly like the acceleration enrichments aren't properly being added (bad, or ms-adjusted TPS)

Have you bothered checking teh TPS adjustment?

Oh, and the MAP sensor mounts on the firewall behind the intake manifold.

I just tried the TPS. And it still does it. Im going to open up the ECU later today. I am sure its something small somewhere.
