View Full Version : HKS VBC problems!!!! Please help

I just hooked up my hks vbc and it doesnt work. :aigo: I cant adjust boost at all. I Called up HKS and they said that i have it hooked up right, does anyone have any suggestions if so it would be greatly appreciated.

what kind is it(e.g. evc IV V etc.). you might have a problem in the wiring harness for it or have vacume hose issues(backwords, not big enuf/too small). double check all the settings too. did you go through all the setup testing stuff first so it can learn your boost curve?

It is actually a mechanical boost controller. and i checked for leaks and for kinks but there were none. Im starting to think that it may be a faulty valve.

could be the spring on the waste gate controler.

Is there anyway to tell if that is the problem?

did you have any boost problems before the install??? try checking loose hose conectors.

No the car boosted just fine and had no vacuum leaks. i cant figure out unless the valve itself is bad.

No ive tried it hooked up both ways and still no luck.
