I have a 1988 N/A, California emmissions. I would like to know if anyone has had the same problem and a fix for the lower O2 sensor, after cat. I pulled the error codes, and have error #27. I checked the resistance for the sensor and have 3.8. From the TSRM spec., it should be 5.1-6.3. I tried to order a new sensor for a Toyota dealership, but the part has been discontinued. Is there an aftermarket source for the lower O2 sensor? If not, is there another sensor which can be substituted, with rewiring?

The sensor removed has the part number 89465-14070.
The part number for the dealer is 89465-19185.

I am tired of driving around with the check engine light on after 10 minutes, I hope someone has a fix.

I have the same code and I'm just swapping out the ECU for a non-cali spec...

but I also have a JDM engine, so EGR isn't an issue..

Not too many... 20 years ago, this was the car to have, with turbo. I just like the MA70 Supra, even if it's a N/A. I just starting working on it, it was in storage for a few years, keeps me busy. Great members and forum.

Installed the sensor, ran the car for 40 miles, no error codes. Thanks for the help.

I hope your problem is fixed but unless you started the engine several times during that 40 miles it's gonna take more than that to be sure.
