Looking for a new turbo. The engine is built, would like to see 550 to 600rwhp.
I don't know, but I'm looking at a Garrett GT 3582R Trim 84, A/R 0.82 and
Wayne suggested a GT 4088R w/ Trim 78, A/R 0.85. Please help with your
experience.
Thanks Fred

Define "built".
What fuel system do you have? Engine managment?

Well if you want to go the GT35R route you could use a turbonetics GT35RKiller its cheaper and a better turbo. call me if you have questions 252-562-3899

I'd bin the Venoms.
I definitely respect your opinion and will take it as good advice. Should I
use RC's and if so do you think I should go bigger? I believe 550's should
be safe up to 550 RWHP, in the event I can push more than that would it
be wise to change to RC 850's or something in that range; knowing I
might have to upgrade my fuel system more?
Thanks for your response, I was beginning to feel hung out to dry on this
thread.
Thanks, Fred

I'll give you a call tomorrow. I have been trying to track down a
Turbonetics cast SS exhaust manifold with so far no luck-really no response,
kind of like talking in a vacuum. I do believe they are available, and would
be a good fill in until I can possibly get Ron R. to build me a tubular one
in his spare time.
Thanks for your response.

Fred: Are you running sequential or Batch fire on the Injectors?

Fred: Are you running sequential or Batch fire on the Injectors?
I truly do not know the answer to that question. I can find out tomorrow
from the tuner. Unfortunately I am not that experienced in tuning set up.
The fuel rail is stock, the Walbro pump is a 250? I do not know how the
AEM unit is set up. In my case ignorance is not bliss, it is some what
embarrassing and really frustrating. The more I read these threads to
learn, the more I realize how little I know; and I'll keep reading and
asking questions. That is a game I have found on this forum that is
really fun to play and rewarding in the exchange of information.
Thanks again for your time and help.

What is this GT35R killer? I'm picking up a nice t4 manifold very soon and rebuilding in the winter so I'm keeping my options oper for a turbo that can do up to 600rwhp on pump. I mean nice too :). :naughty:

Let us know when you find out Fred.
I won't compromise on injectors after burning a motor down on the dyno during a low HP pull when one laid down :(
(it flowed just enough fuel to turn that cylinder into an oxy Torch)
I also like a bit of overhead so they're not maxxed on duty at your realistic HP goal.
My "feeling" is around the 700cc RC mark.

I will let you know tomorrow. I did leave a message on your visitors page.
I tagged a set of RC 750cc injectors w/ clips @ Supra Sport and can complete
the order tomorrow.

I know about the thread, I just read it last night. Believe me their coming
out as soon as I can get some RC's. Thanks for the info, I appreciate
the warning. Fred

My injectors are set up sequential. Bigger the better? I can change the
tag at Supra Sport and order RC1000's. I wonder why Supra Sport is
even selling Venom injectors?
Thanks again for your time.

That's fine, then I'll stay with them. Then it's on to the turbo and a new
manifold. Apparently the Turbonetics cast SS manifolds are not available
now, they need 10 orders before they will make a new run & who knows
when that might be. Any suggestions? I really would like to have Ron R.
build one but I'm sure that would be a while also, his work is in high
demand. Back to the turbo, I think I have decided to buy a Garrett GT3582R,
the trim is 84 & A/R 0.82. Looking at the turbo map it seems to come on
more in the range that I drive the car. Anyway, I'll change the injectors to
750's next week, re-tune and enjoy the car for the summer knowing I'll
have a good project for the late fall and winter. I would like to get the
manifold in the works now so I'll have it when needed.
Thanks again for your time and interest, I truly appreciate your experience.

I'm using a SSAC 321 Header here Fred, not bad quality and cheap as dirt.
I had it Coated with TurboX.

the GT35Rkiller is a custom turbo that my company builds, it is a Turbonetics GT35R replacement offering. It spools faster and makes more power and is priced about 200 dollars cheaper. Also we cover the turbo under the 1 year "no fault warranty". If you have questions about it or anything else call 252-562-3899 and speak with me directly my name is Rob.
Where could I find one?
Check PM Fred ;)
