for those of you running TT wheels.....what lug nuts are u guys using? i kno mkiii stock ones work but i don't have any..the ones that i get from kragen's ar the acron style ones and i don't think they work....they sit in too far...i might need the ones with washer? anyone know of a place online? or where i can get a set...i'm using the acorn ones for now on the TT and don't really trust it

i never had the stock ones....the guy who i bought the car used a different one already....
for now i went to local kragen's and got the mag wheels one with washer....the fronts are ok but i think the rears might not be...it seems like the washer is spinning and the lug is not tight against the wheel..hmm anyone else

ok after changing it to those...the car makes a lot of noise when the wheel is rolling......it could be the lugs but i got to check tomorrow.......it sounds really bad...but the lugs are still tight. also when i drovev on the freeway it seemed like the wheel was unbalanced but before i changed to the mag style lugs with washer and had the acorn style ones on it was fine....so i'm not sure is it the lug nuts or something on my suspension just broke.....because i just changed the lugs when all this started to sound

Man make sure those lug nuts are of the right thread and depth. My MkIII had the washer kind lug nuts as well, but were the stock ones.
Could the noise be from the tupe of tyre you are running? Some tires make horrible road noise man..

anyone know where to get lug nuts, other than toyota?
toyota want 9 bucks a pop, and I havent been able to find anything cheaper anywhere...
Ideally I wouldnt buy a whole set, I only need 5

the ones from kragen are right thread but not depth.....those are the ones with a washer but the shank is too short....i got 5 from toyota to see how it is and those are different...its more of an open ended shank type with the washer...that is the noise because when i jacked the car up...the tires were a bit loose..but lugs were tight...so i have to go with toyota ones...heard its only dealer item for those lugs...unless someone has a set...they wanna sell

If you can find a MkIII in the junkyard, you can pull the lug nuts off it.

I use stock MKIV TT lugs on my MKIV TT rims, works fine for me. They are lighter, shorter and hollow compared to MKIII lugs from what I recall.

^^^yea the MKIV TT lugs fits the MKIII because they are same thread...12 x 1.5....i had to buy a set from toyota since i don't have time to go to a junkyard to get it....$4 a piece...the MKIV lugs are actually a dealer item only i think...its an open end with a washer, shank..
