i was just wondering if this stupid divet in the piston would create a hot spot?

If anything, you might want to deburr the edge's of the valve reliefs. Use a finer grit (180) paper roll mounted on a grinder. Your not looking to remove any material, you just want to radius the edges. But honestly, it will be fine just the way it is.
