I am looking at this because I have to decide if i want one.

Precision makes one for my turbo - the common type housing with many holes drilled in it.

Has anyone used this type before? I know HKS has one or 2 that come this way.

According to Precision, if I run this turbo / housing combination, I can run no BOV at all without concerns, but I still need to talk to the main guy there cause he was not there when I called.

HAH! Who said that?! I'm assuming you're running over 10psi...even if you werent, some sort of bypass valve is extremely important for turbo longevity.

Anyways, I know how to tell on a compressor map when you'd need one...but otherwise...I'm curious as to how to see if you need one.

on my turbo, it comes with the anti surge house, but i chose to leave it alone.... undrilled. until im ready to push that power, im gonna leave it as is, and keep my bov. once my new motor is done, i might reconsider.

Why are you so concerned with not running a BOV? Just get a good one(or 2 for big boost) and run it/them. If its set up properly it will not leak, and will help keep the turbo spooled and happy.
