Hey guys,
I own a 91' White package with working TEMS. I've been doing some research and everything I find is on full coilover or non TEMS equipped cars. Well coilovers are out of the picture for right now because Im saving up for a swap but I was wondering if there is anything I can do to improve the already exsisting system without breaking it or messing it up?

With TEMS, it seems that your only option is Illumina II's or new stock TEMS dampers if you can still get them.
And then everything else is the same as non-tems shocks in terms of springs and what you can do there.

Thought I'd add since I did this recently.
I went with:
Tokico Illumina II (like them a lot)
B+G Springs (not stiff enough in my opinion, but better than stock and I'm waiting to see how they feel once sway bars are in)
and KYB upper mounts (don't let them scare you online, it's the same part w/ or w/out tems, I even wrote KYB so maybe they'll change the info)

What about the H&R springs? Any experience with them?

i was on supra sport.com and i was wondering if the suspension package is a good deal? it has the Tokico Illumina II.

i was looking for tems compatable suspension and thats all there is? is this a decent setup? im looking for something that would be good for everyday use, but at the same time i want better more aggressive handleing without sacrificing the comfortable ride. plus i wanted it a little more agressive stance as well.
Thanks

I also have TEMS and used a set of Eibach pro's springs that lowered the supra about 1 1/4" The stance looks sweet! TEMS still working, and for $200 shipped to my door I thought it was a good deal. The hardest part of the swap/install was removing all the rear interior to get to the top bolts for the shocks .

if you put eibachs on the stock struts would there be a lot of damage? i wanted to keep my tems but to just lower it.

what im going to be doing is buying tein flex coilovers with the edfc and take out the tems system in the car and replace it with the edfc module right where the suspension buttons are now it will look amazing

EDFC is not the same as TEMS. TEMS is a whole system that will adjust the dampers based on vehicle speed, steering and braking inputs. It's actually a pretty decent system, especially for the time.
EDFC is just in car adjustment for the dampers. It doesn't monitor anything or adjust based on inputs, it just allows you to change the damping from inside the car.
