OK. Who's going to 2k5, and who's looking for someone to tag along with? Last year a group of us met up in Urbana/Champaign,IL (sp? But don't really care lol) And it was a blast. Lots of drive-bys and the like. I'm just curious who's going to be there. I can't wait.

When is it this year? I'd love to be able to go.

I guess date/times would be helpful...
HERE (http://www.mid-westsupras.com/forum/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=629) It's the 'official' site. not really a whole lot of info yet, no date nailed down, weird. But it's either Aug 19-21 or 26-28. If you go you Have to stay overnight. Ask anyone who went last year, that hotel was SWEET. Super nice and fairly cheap. Awesome turn out, even with the rain last year, but no track time for me to kill some MKIV's with my MKII. If anyone has, or knows of any other MKII's, please bring them. I would love you forever.

Nobody talks to the MKII guy. :sadwavey:

Was Bob the guy that did the do-nut coming off the interstate? or am I thinking of someone different? Thanks though, I just wish the wheels weren't turned on my Green car. I think I'm gonna photoshop them straight like the rears.

No, we lost Bob when we were getting off the interstate. He got boxed out by a semi and passed the exit. Steve was the guy who did the doughnut....in an n/a no less... :dunno:

It's deffinately worth the drive, even from SE Indiana. Not that WI would be a cake walk either. I would say that a good time will be had by all. I wanna get some track time this year though. Grant, you're going down. (with the 82)

In other news, I saw 2 MKIII's today, and an MKI...! It was in really nice shape considering how old the thing is. Couldn't run him down though, friggin traffic. I woulda bought that thing.

I'll be ready, punk! I think we're going to be blessed with beautiful racing weather this year. Last years meet was just too close to spring.

Steve, I love those wheels. It's a shame my MKII is 4 lug, or I owulda went home with 'em last week. :icon_wink Lemme know if you want to get a caravan going, I'd imagine I'm gonna meet up in Urbana with Grant again, and I'm sure he wouldn't mind.

I WILL have 200 hp by then. Not sure how, but I will have it.

Matt, we should definately meet and caravan up again. If Steve meets up with you, and heads this way that's all the better. If you guys are all definately coming I'll get a caravan route posted on the MWS site.

One more thing Matt, it looks like that's 2 votes for N2o. :biglaugh:

I'm all for a caravan. As of now it will be myself & dbsupra driving up from louisville. May be a cpl other MK3 owners also. About a month out befor the meet we need to get together & work the details out.

mkiiSupraMan18
04-24-2005, 02:40 PM
OK. Where can I get me a 150 shot at then? That should be good for A dyno pull, or so. I think I'll just stick w/ trying to find a header and intake...

But, about the caravan, consider me signed up or whatever. We need more MKII's, thats what we need. then we can arrange 'em from oldest, or best, to newest... or maybe have an MKIV and an MKI caravan also, but does anyone know of anyone who has an MKI? I know I don't...

my cousin has one sitting in a field with a BHG. Maybe we can throw it on a trailer and pull it in front of the pack.

Has this date been set yet?

It should not be the same as the Toronto meet as that would force folks to make a choice.

Looking forward to seeing the guys I met in KY and IN again, along with the Chicago guys.

from the official site:

...Ok do to the needs of the Navy and the fact that I also host and run the Mid-West Supra Chapter the CHI2K5 will be either these two dates Aug 19-21 or 26-28...

i.e. the dates are dependant on when bob is leaving....

Steve_N

Cool.. That works out well. That way my son can attend. Mid Aug. summer break is over & we are back in the school & football routine.

mkiiSupraMan18
04-28-2005, 07:57 PM
Geez. We started football in June when I played... sucks to be us, I suppose. I'm still hoping it'll be on a date the GF can attend, I've told her about all the awesome cars in Chicago, but there's nothing like seeing them for yourself. But if she can't go, I can drive like an idiot and not get yelled at like I did in STL. So, either way, I'm good.

To anyone from Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, Missouri, Arkansas, or where-ever else that would be going....

PM me here or email me at oneandgone@speed-source.net with your location so I can get the caravan details nailed down.

Last year we had an unorganized caravan of about 9 cars. I would like to get at least 20 this year which should be fairly simple with some planning.

Thank you!!!

I'm there, but I'll be shooting down 94 from Detroit. Be happy to hook up but not going to drive 100 miles out of my way to do so.

Dan, I'm mainly looking for people who would be coming from the south, southeast, and southwest. I'd be happy to point anyone who contacts me from the north in your direction. Maybe you could arrange a caravan from that direction?

Blue87T(Dan)
05-07-2005, 01:16 AM
I know what the intention was. Getting Michigan Supras to do anything appears to be like pulling teeth.

By the way, I am going to go to Indy on the 3rd. Will you be there with or without the Supra?

I don't care which track we go to. I just want to race.

oneandgone
05-07-2005, 08:11 AM
I don't know if I'll be at Indy or not. I'd like to, but I know I won't pass tech at IRP. There are races at Cordova the weekend before and they don't tech very hard so I may end up there instead.

End of July now? Damn, and I thought I was getting anxious... :hsugh:
Grant, you know I'm coming from Southern IN, so if there are any people coming from KY/OH, we need to all meet up and cruise to Urbana to meet up with the rest of the pack... No offense... but from IN to Urbana, the scenery sucks, and there are no curves.

Is anyone coming from KY/OH and wanting to cruise over with a few Supras from Southern IN? MKII's would be greatly appreciated but as ussual, :umno: I'm sure.

oneandgone
05-11-2005, 08:46 PM
Matt, I actually have at least 2 guys from KY who will be passing through Indy. I've been meaning to get ahold of you about meeting up with them. Is anyone else from your area coming?

mkiiSupraMan18
05-11-2005, 11:54 PM
Jordan, the fellow who was with me last year wants to drive the 89, so we may be taking both (Especially if the GF's go) but other than that I don't think so. :thumbsdow But o-well. I'm not 100% on dragging this year now with school, I can't miss any, but I could always just kick-ass heading back home I guess. I'll have to see when all the dates/times get written in stone.
About the KY ppl, they best be meeting up with me in Seymour/Columbus or there will be some ass kicking going on... big time. I also need Eriol and some other people from KY/OH to decide on a place in Indy we could all meet at before cruising on over to Urbana, this should turn out like a Vegas caravan, only just slightly smaller. I'd love to have a 50+ Supra caravan pull up to SP or wherever. Everytime I imagine seeing something like that..... :wuteva:

mkiiSupraMan18
05-12-2005, 12:02 AM
wow, I actually checked the website. Maybe I will be running afterall. the only part I didn't get....

$100 for the Highest RWHP MKIV and MKIII Supra

Even the Supra community doesn't recognize us... :3d_frown: But I suppose seeing that I was the only MKII (of 2) to Dyno, being paid $50 to Dyno would have been kinda silly, but it still gives me something to bitch about.
