Cruise: As of now cruise might not happen. Too many cars but we might seperate into smaller groups but i will keep this updated.

Summer is approaching and why not kick it off with a great Supra/IS meet. Richmond is a central location and is not too bad of a drive for people in Northern and Southern Virginia. We have reserved shelter #1 at Rockwood Park. We will have a grill going and will be providing lunch. When you show up please park in the parking lot between baseball field 3 and 5. There will be a cruise for people interested that will take place around 2PM. This is a public park so there is absolutely no alcohol allowed. Also don’t do anything stupid that might attract cops(burnouts, revving, etc). Also if you have any parts for sale or trade bring them and you might have people interested in them.

Im in if i can get my motor fixed by then. I should definately be able to. But i had a spark plug blow up in the number 6 cylinder and the piston was just hammering it into the head. but the head has been re-surfaced and all reworked, valve adjustments, everything. Just waiting on valve stem seals. but i have to get new pistons. anyways if my supra isnt up would it be cool if i bring my evo?

My supra's running! I can't believe it was just the grounds that bolt on the intake manifold. It was messing with the ecu and after tightening it, it runs smooth and pulls hard now. I guess the scion xa isn't goin to richmond haha

Met up with a guy this morning who has 2-MK4's and a MK3. He came to pick up a FFIM I was selling. The MK4 he was driving has 940rwhp! It was an insanely sick car. Her is on the forums here, or maybe on SF but he said he thought him and a few friends would come out from VA Beach for the meet. I will give him a link to this thread when I get a chance. Do you any of you know him? His name was Mike. Very nice guy the MK4 he was driving was baltic blue with HRE's on it? Anyways hope he will bring some friends.

As an update I got my motor back today and will be building it today! I have lots of work ahead of me but the hard part it out of the way now, THE MONEY!

Yea all you got to do is bring $5. I was thinking about making each person bring 1 item but thought it would be much easier for me to buy everything and charge a small portion to help me recoup some of the cost for the shelter and food.

I also wanted to note that at this point the cruise is not looking too good. Im kind of worried that it may be way too many cars to have a successful cruise going but let me think about this but if you have any suggestions for the cruise let me know!

As far as help on the grill I was thinking of having people help cook for only 10-15 minutes and then the next person takes over. You don't have to come early to help out. I was planning on starting the grill around 11 so if you are there at the beginning around 10 you should be good to go!

Well guys I am so so bummed! I totally got dates messed up and won't be able to make it! I am doing the 12Hrs of Summit Point in our shops Porsche 944! Thought it was next weekend but its not! Still maybe a chance and the car will still be done but I am seriously bummed. Obvioulsy the choice to race is easy for me cause that is me!

The catch:
We went testing today and the car got pretty much totalled. There are 3 paying drivers, my boss, and I set to drive it. One of the paying drivers tank swapped coming out of a fast sweeper in 4th gear and put the car into the outside tire barrier causing it to roll! He was unhurt luckily! The car basically has not a straight panel on it, bend front clip, both bumpers destroyed.....list goes on. We do have another race prep Porsche 944 at our shop that we may run.

So still a slight chance I will make it if we can not run the other car but not looking good! So sickening, been working so late and long and still going to till I finish! Here is a link to my build:

PS Saw a very clean looking Red 89+ for sale while driving today for cheap if anyone is looking! No details just saw it on the side of the road in someones yard but it was clean and listed for $2200 obo if anyone is interested let me know!

That was me. I popped an IC pipe and had to stop and put it back on. It wasn't tightened. It made a loud pop so I'm sure I woke some people up.

i may be able to make it, but dont know if i am going to have the supra ready though. I still have to get a new battery, switch out a throttle spring, latch my hood down somehow (latch is broken), switch out all rear windows (has stupid old window tint thats pretty old on it) get it cleaned out (too many extra parts from my gte motor and ge motor in there) and maybe prime it and get a couple dents out. so it doesnt look like i'll be able to bring the supra and i know there's no way you guys are gonna allow me to bring the DD up there (see avatar) so idk i may or may not be there, may have to find a way up there, dont want to flamming the stang, lol. but we'll see what happens in the next couple of weeks.

I will be in my 91. The 89 is getting the engine dropped in this weekend, but the 91 is a FAR cleaner car. All I have to do is put in a new distro O-ring and swap out my cracked ass shadow grey dash for my pristine shadow grey dash....I can have all that done in 2 hours. Although, I cannot get the rumbling out of the ass end....fuck it, it drives good enough.

im probably gonna start working on getting the flaking clear coat off tomorrow after work, but which grit sand paper should i use?

Use 320 on a sander to make it quick. Just don't stay in one spot long.

well today i finally got around to getting the clear coat off. first i startd off with 900 grit adn that wasnt doing anything, so then i went and got some 120 grit and that did exactly what i wanted it to do all i had to use was a sanding block. and today i also went to teh local toyota dealership adn got my shifter seat and bushing for $15, so now my shifter is good to go. so now all i got to do now is just prime the car and then get it inspected adn then im good to go. Don't feel bad, I have the whine of death and destruction under my hood. Force, I think it was some sort of oil starvation in the beginning, which caused it to die. I think. Would running 5w30 do that? Anyways, I should have the gaskets in by wednesday so we can put the other ct26 on. Not looking forward to doing it in the heat though so maybe early in the day.

Finally, I'm thinking of having people over tonight for beer/drinks and maybe some good pizza and video games/car stuff. I'll repost and let you know what the verdict is.

Yeah, we're all meeting up at greenbrier mall at 8:30ish, then we'll all ride up there. Imagine how loud that tunnels gonna be haha. Btw, even if you fail the inspection. You can still drive it for 15 days cuz they give u a temporary sticker up there.

Which gasket kit are you talking about? When i swapped my turbos out i reused the gasket that goes between the turbo and downpipe.

High temp RTV FTW! File the flange surface flat and use RTV, only High temp black! I ran my blue car for the first couple years with just RTV no gasket. Always good to put one in but it will get you through the meet for sure!

alright guys i will bring the supra only if i get the throttle release spring that i need. i just dont know if i trust driving it all the way to richmond though, cause i finally just got it on the road after a year. but all in all ill bring it. just dont joke on my exhaust. had to throw something up there to get it to pass inspection. BRS bring the Supra!! Remember this isn't a show it is a meet. My car is nowhere near show ready, and I don't know if I ever want it to be. That first ding or scratch irritates the hell out of me^^
It is also a great opportunity to share and gather information, knowledge is power, especially when you are talking Supra talk....

well guys im not sure if im gonna be able to bring the supra this weekend or not. cause today i finally decided to drive it to work and the way to work the speedo cable goes out (but i already fixed this, it was the lower)
and then after speedo cabl went, i started on my way back home adn then the car started to over heat. so i pulled into a parking lot. and looked but there were no signs of water leakage, it was just steam coming out of the fluid resivoir. so i parked it and called for a ride to come pick me up and take me back home. well got back home and got in the stang and went to work.
And this is where the bad news is. while at work, the airport at which i had left teh supra at called me adn said that my car had caught on fire. so i rushed to the airport and seen what was going on. apparently when i had my exhaust done, it was too close to the rear bumper and had caught the bumper and insolation on fire. so i had to cut a peice of teh bumper off and water it down. so now im pissed off cause now i have a big cut square in the rear bumper.
So it looks like i may not be bringing teh supra at all. and plus i gotta re-adjust my tps cause my throttle response adn everything is messed up. and dont get off work tomorrow till 5. so if anyone wants to help me with this tommorrow afternoon, i would greatly appreciate it, eventhough most are probably gonna go to dustins for detail and tune tomorrow afternoon

Im also hoping everyone made it back safely. Thanks for coming out because if it wasnt for you all showing up, it would have been an unsuccessful meet. It was nice seeing so many clean supras in one place and meeting everyone as well. I think i can safely say that VA might be made up of 85% white supras. If you have any suggestions for the next one post it up so that we can make the next one a bigger and better meet.

well the meet was good for me except for the ride up there and i didnt get to take the supra. but thats all fixed now, no more overheating or anything now (knock on wood) so maybe next time yall meet up Dustin i could bring the supra and prove that i do own one and im not just a mustang owner who wants to hang around such cool cars haha

Im very happy that everyone was pleased with the event. I also liked how i saw that a future meet might also be taking place in Virginia Beach this time. I hope that we can see more and more meets take place in various areas around the mideast because i saw so many supras that were modded tastefully but also very different from each other. After the meet this past week, I am now very motivated to clean up my engine bay because Davismj711, and SWD Fredester 3 had the cleanest engine bays I have ever seen in a mkiii.
