Turbo Comparisons

What other turbos are similar in performance as the IHI RHC7? Ive never heard of this turbo and Im having a hard time finding any info about it. And also which turbos are a bit of an upgrade compared to this turbo? It would be for a 1jz.

IIRC, that turbo didn't move a bunch of air. It was big, but inefficient. Look into the newer GT series from Garrett for an efficient turbo ;)

You don't. IHI was limited on giving out their information. PM upgradedsupra for more information.

They moved some serious air John, but as you stated weren't very efficient compared to today's standards. Back in the early 80's these turbos were the hot unit. Upgradedsupra made 700hp with a RHC7....
