changed valve covers and gaskets

changed my valve covers today.glad i did all the intake side cam bolts were barely finger tight. gotta love previous owners doing maintenance.painted my valve covers cherry red hope everyone likes.

How did you tighten the cams down? Did you just use a socket? You know there are torque specs right?

You don't need to remove the cams to remove the valve covers.

i used the lug nut wrench with an adapter...... yes i used a torque wrench.

Do you fill your cooling system from here?

I've been meaning to try that as I always seem to get too much air in when I do a dry fill.

yes i got it from wal-mart its a prestone flush kit and comes with that piece and some other adapter for the rad.has always worked well for me open the cap fill rad. and close rad and top off from the cap by the firewall.

Oh, so you fill the radiator first, then fill the back side on the other side of the thermostat second...

Makes sense.

I might have to go pick one up... I see them at VatoZone all the time.

no i was just being a smart ass cause i was a little pissed about finding the intake side cam bolts all loose.
