i bought a t4 mani about a week ago from a guy on here, i really didnt pay too much attention to what the flange was(my mistake), so i bought a turbonetics deltagate evolution because it was new and i got a good deal on it. When they both arrived, it hit me, they were no where close to mating up. There are adapter flanges for it but i was worried about the eg's "bottle necking" at the wasgate and overriding it which would equal no boost, because it is only a 36mm so all of that going on to a small surface area would be much easier to open up the valve especially after going through an adapter flange first. So, should i sell the gate and pay a little extra, or should i buy the adapter which is 50 bucks and risk overriding the gate, thanks for any input,
charles
p.s. the turbo is a precision 61mm with a .68 ar hot side if that helps anything

In general, a small wastegate (40mm or less) will control high boost fine. It will be low boost (say, 8-10psi) that it will have trouble keeping down.
