View Full Version : Brake Shoes and Spring Kit

Anyone know where I can purchase these...I called Toyota and they want way too much for the springs...they are selling every thing seperate...meaning each spring and bolt....they do not have a kit. As well for some reason 3 of the shoes are for around 45.00 and then the 4th one is for 49.00...any suggestions. I need the entire spring kit for both sides and shoes for both sides...thanks...1987 NA .....

Don't you mean brake disks. I have a 88 and 4 wheel disks. The only springs are the little spring wires that keep the pads away from the rotor. Any parts place would be able to get the pads, the little spring wires(anti squeel springs) I don't think the parts places can get them.

If I'm not mistaken, don't the new pads bring that little spring?

Some do but most don't, I still have my original.

Here's a question...


I only have 1 v-spring on each side of the front brakes. Is this right? Isn't there supposed to be 2 on each side?

And, my shims have gone to shit, will Autozone/Advance/Pep Boys be able to get these or are they dealer only?

I was talking about the shoes for the parking brakes and the spring kit that holds them in place
