ok i just finshed my bhg. i set everything to tcd by the book. and now code 14. it starts up just fine. it hasates around 2200 and 2500 rpm then drops. i checked the code and got 14. i think my timing is off. any help would be great. this is my d.d. and i need it up and running thanks

Good possiblity, did you time it with a timming light and the jumper wire?

no i didnt. i dont have one or even know how to use one. where can i get one?

Is this a NA or Turbo car? (Your profile says turbo...this is the NA section)

BTW - code 14 is no IGf signal to the ECU and is due to the igniter, ignitor circuit, igniter/coil or igniter/coil circuit.

this one is a n/a. i dont know what to look for. is it a bad connection?

*up date* the timing was off. after that fixed i got a code 41 the tps was bad. witch was causing it to hasate. it is now running fine as far as i know. am waiting for it to cool down to check my fuilds and burp the system.


one more question is it possible to set my timing by the rpm? i couldnt figure out how to use the timing light, but got it set by using the rpm thing on my timing light. should i go back and check it?

Yes. You have to use a jumper wire in the dianostic box, I forget which ones but it's in the TSRM. It's also on the hood sticker if you still have one.
