I am VERY interested in the BIC downpipe with the ported out elbow but I have a concern. With my car being very stock and my current project being a simple factory headgasket replacement, I am worried that the pipe might be too much. With the ported out elbow will I risk over boosting my poor motor?

Thanks
Alex

No, the downpipe will be fine.

a new DP won't affect your boost level, merely spool time. It will help some on its own, but you won't see any real dramatic changes until you go to a full low restriction exhaust (3" is the standard), but you have to start somewhere. :icon_bigg

Thanks for the replies, I got in touch with BIC perfomance and he said it would be about 3 weeks waiting time. I dont think I can wait that long for my Supra. My current daily driver only has sooo many days left to live. Choices choices!

unfortunately that's about how long it will take to get a cool-eeze DP too......so unless you can find one used, you're stuck.

Mine was well worth the wait. Best money spent on an upgrade for my car so far. Well, maybe the 550's/Lexus AFM did more to improve power, but it's a close one!

Well I figure I will post this here too scince it is relavent,

Here is the dyno sheet. I personally dyno tested both of the downpipes durring the same session. The dynoing was done on Van Supra's car. The car was totally stock, with a few mods, BIC standard downpipe, no cats, 3" catback, Blitz bov and a K&N filter.

At 10 psi it made 255 rwhp and 267 tq (red rund). After two more pulls to verify the number I swapped the Dp to the DDP ( I have the burn scars on my arm to prove it). The next run with the only change being the ddp the power jumped to 283 rwhp and 285 tq at 11 psi (blue run), thats a 28rwhp and a 18 tq gain. Yes the boost did rise by about 1 psi but only because of the effiency of the downpipe, there was no boost controller or washers used on the car at all. So here you have the facts!!
