Just go buy NGKs. They're cheaper and better.

from my (limited) experience, bosch and japanese engines do not get along. I installed them by mistake in my maxima and they caused horrible stuttering problems during acceleration.

Are you turbo or NA?

Bosch plugs especially the platinum do not work good on our cars. You could install them and see hos it goes. Worst case scenarion on a turbo engine going lean is a melted ring.

We often had DIY'rs that brought their Diamantes, Monteros etc into the shop complaining of poor idle, lousy driveablity etc after doing a tune up with Bosch Platinum plugs. 9 times out of 10 installing factory plugs would cure the problem. I don't understand the science (narrower insulator, higher resistance? etc) but there was always an inprovement when the factory plugs were used over the Bosch

Its not the plug, but the way the engine is set up. There lean burn racing motors. It might be the fuel octane rate thats shite. Cheap fuel poor performance.

Bad plugs can't make good enough spark to break anything. :D

I used Bosch Plat 4's in my 95 Eclipse RS on a 75 shot, they fouled out in 1 night.

After that I strictly use NGK's in all my cars.

You shouldnt use platinum plugs on a turbo car, in most cases theyre too hot. You'll want to run NGK copper plugs (6097s)and gap them properly. These are the bkr7e model which is probably a perfect heat range for most turbo applications. NGK copper plugs <$2 and will last quite a while, even if they done theyre cheap to replace.

NGK Iridiums if you dont feel like changing copper plugs at every oil change. Their pricey but in the long run your saving money considering you dont have to change them until 30-60k intervals instead of 3k. Major pain in the ass just to change spark plugs on the gte so I dont think I would wanna do it every 3k miles.

I dont change my NGK coppers at every oil change? I usually check them at every other oil change and they're usually still good.
