Is there any difference in hp or boost between the ddp and the 3' bic downpipe? what's the flex section for?

The car I dyno tested my downpipes on found a 28 rwhp gain when going from the standard BIC 3" downpipe to the BIC DDP. The boost did go up by about 1 psi, so part of the power gain was due to the increase in boost, but it increases the total exhaust flow area by 1 3/4".

The flex section is mostly to allow room for thermal expansion of the downpipe as it heats up. It also helps with if your car is really low to absorb some of the shock if you bottom out on speed bumps etc. I dont find it necissary but some people want them so I offer it as an option, I ran my dp for 3 years without a flex and had no problems at all.

Thanks a lot Randy I just got mine yesterday and it looks awsome. I have to wait a few weeks until i got it installed since I'm getting a mhg installed first .My borther was going to get the bic downpipe but now he's going to save some money for the ddp.
