Hey guys... Im totally new to supras, but my buddy sparked the passion within me. I just recently bought an MK3 out of florida that already had a 1jz swap. Its in need of some work because the tranny is pretty bad, and the head gasket and i thing the rear main seal is leaking too.... I plan to completely rebuild it over the year...
Here is a pic of the car. Its all i got right now.

Welcome Mr. Basil. I live about an hour and a half south of you and I own one of those weak ass'd 1jz as welll. I hope to see you around and you can pm me with any questions you may have. I also have the inside scoop on cheap labor. My neighbors are excellent mechanics if you run into anything you don't feel like tackling. See ya, Jay

And the Bama Supra group grows! Who is your friend, do we know him? If not get him on here as well. We need all the RED we can get in here to counteract the beautiful blue 1J car to the south of you. I would recommend you take Suprahero's advise and PM him with any questions you might have. He is very knowledgeable. You can also PM me with any car or interior questions. The only 1JZ I've ever seen in person is Jay's, so I can't help much there.

Got some tire rub goin on... Any suggestions as to a easy fix, thats not expensive? Can i get the rims machined and roll the fenders maybe?
Oh, and suprahero i do plan to contact you soon. I dont know much about these cars, so ill be asking plenty of questions. And i do plan on rebuilding the motor soon so ill need some suggestions for good affordable machine work. Im still a broke college kid.

That is a nice looking car!
I see you took Ryan's (da89soup) advice on engine bay photos. There are people on this forum known as picture whores..........Ryan is their Gay Blue leader

Well at least im the leader of something!!:biglaugh:
Thanks for the bay pictures!! Im done hiding the fact that I am going 1J at this point and I just like to see how others did the swap. Interesting how a few things were done under your hood!!! As far as a good machine shop I belive Jay uses two different shops. I know he uses one shop for headwork for sure!!
As far as the rubbing goes it looks like you have some pretty low offset there. A great person to ask about that kind of stuff is Borhor (Boris)!! Just PM him and tell him you were refered by my Gay Blueness.:biglaugh:

I used to get PM's about things like this, so I didn't know your intentions here.

A slight roll should take care of all your problems. What are your wheel offsets and tire size?

Not a clue as to the offset... Came with the car. 255x40x17 in the rear. Im thinking of getting the wheels machined and rolling the fenders. I think it should fix the problem.
