OK, just a random question but i was surfing through some pics and i noticed something. I have a 1973 chevy nova with a 350ci and a 83 ford f100 with a 302ci, which both i have changed the fuel pumps(Which are mechanical pumps and mount to the block).

Well i got to looking at the 7m block and noticed a hole that has the same design on it. But our cars are fuel injected and that hole is covered up. Just wondering what is the history of the 7m block. Has its design been used before in previous Toyota motors , or something? I don't know too much about earlier Toyota engines....

Yep that's the old Mech Fuel pump mount and where the Head to block drain hose is was the distributor hole :)

My guess would be the 5M, but I'm not sure you could always google for some 5M pics :P
