If I were to have a Jawsgear Steel Driveshaft and I wanted it to be "re-balanced" or something (to stop higher speed vibrations) or if I wanted to replace it with an aluminum one, is it possible for me to send it to you (for either the re-balancing or aluminum replacement)? Just wondering for future reference.

Yes to both questions.

Shaftmasters currently has an aluminum rear driveshaft section for sale at a reduced price. This piece will eliminate your rubber element rear section and is a direct bolt-in replacement. Purchaser may have to get their 2 piece assembly re-balanced at their local driveshaft shop or send to us for re-balancing. The aluminum rear section we have is up for sale at the ridiculously low price of $175 plus UPS. Call us at 1-866-912-2004 to order. We have 1 of these and it is first come first serve.

We also have a 2 piece assembly that features a new OEM front ujoint and new OEM center bearing. It also has a retubed rear section that eliminates the OEM rubber element rear section. The 2 piece assembly is up for sale at the ridiculously low price of $350 plus UPS.

Left Below = Aluminum Rear Section
Right Below = 2 piece assembly (unassembled)

How much power can the aluminums take ? Or is high speed the only concerns?

Am looking to order a driveshaft but have a question. I have an 87 turbo automatic. Your application listing doesnt have a listing specific to my vehicle. I know it is the same as length and spline count as an 88 NA automatic. Is there someting I am not aware of that would exclude my listing?

Thanks guys. Your 1-pce shaft is excellent quality and fitment! And the foam insert makes it a bit quieter than the 1-pce I was running before.

I was very upset ! my new one-piece alu driveshaft was not balanced in spite of allegations of the vendor ! it cost me + $200 for rebalancing (see pict) :icon_evil

just my experience....

We are glad you posted photos. We can tell from the photos that this is not a Shaftmasters shaft. Our shafts do not come with the OEM trans yoke and a conversion universal joint in the front. We can also tell by the welds that it is not a Shaftmasters shaft. Please make an effort to inform the members that you have posted in the wrong thread.
Thanks, David
