New LOWER Price on JVT Rads!!
The 2 Row rads are almost out of stock, but hence forth JVTs rads will be priced as follows
2 Row- $168.10 + shipping (& tax for Cal.)
3 Row- $213.60 + shipping (& tax for Cal.)
Seems like hidden fees? I dont think so, look at this. The 2 Row at $168.10 shipped within California is $199.55 OUT THE DOOR!!!! Thats about $11 less than before. Who loves you baby, Zankoku will always give you the best rads and the ABSOLUTE lowest price. And of course, JVT's rads fit perfectly better than Megan's or Mishimoto's AND the custom top mounts are included makin it a drop in affair.
Enjoy guys!

Jimi I'm sure there ARE people with them, the company's been around for awhile, but I havent sold any MKIII ones yet. Its funny how everyone always wants someone to test fit and be the guinea pig, yet no one wants to find out for themselves. I'm sure they fit fine though, havent come across an MKIII hood that doesnt yet. Anyways you can rest assured if something doesnt Extreme Carbon will paaay! :icon_evil
jimi87-t
03-03-2009, 06:02 PM
Well the only problem with being the guinea pig is that if it doesn't fit right and needs returned, the shipping price for an individual is nearly twice what a shop is charged.
But, I have no problem being a guinea pig to help out the community.
So, is there anyway to let me know how much it weighs? If you can give me the weight, we can get the order started, and I will be the guinea pig :icon_bigg.
EDIT: I just looked at a hood on ebay from Extreme Carbon, is this the hood without the center cowl they are offering? If so, it's a no go, I'm looking for an OEM style hood.
Here is a pick of the one from ebay with no cowl (raised center section of hood):

Ok, because the one without the cowl looks like ass ;)
So I take it you drop ship these and don't have any "in your hands", so there is no way for you to weigh one. I can understand that.

But I think I have changed my mind, if it is this hard to order, how long would it take if there is a problem that needs resolved....I thought I had told you. Anyways, on the carbon hoods return can go like this. When you receive it, inspect it, check for damage, if there's damage we can make a claim immediately and get it taken care of. If its a fitment issue, all hoods come from the same molds and have fit fine on any other car, so 90% fitment issue is related to improper installation or previous vehicle damage (like an accident). If the hood doesnt fit, you can return it and get your money back for the hood, but they dont cover the shipping
Things have been VERY busy around here. Lots of early mornings and late nights. If it takes me more than 2 days to respond to you on here give me a call. Shop info can be found in the myspace link in my signature

ZANKOKU PERFORMANCCE
JVT RADIATORS
For those of who dont know, Zankoku will always give you the best rads and the ABSOLUTE lowest price. And of course, JVT's rads fit perfectly better than Megan's or Mishimoto's AND the custom top mounts are included making it a drop in affair. The stock fan shroud even bolts up fine to these.
Who loves you baby,
For those looking at these radiators, they are not a drop in affair as described. See this thread (http://www.supramania.com/forums/showthread.php?t=64558&highlight=JVT+racing+radiator) for the details. I just recognized all of the problems posted in that thread doing a test fit on my car. Still a nice radiator but will need modifications to make it work. By the time you figure the extra expense, I could have purchased a Koyo which is a drop in radiator.

The 2 row is known is know to drop right in w/ the included top mounts. The shroud even fits fine, there's someone that even took pics of how his shroud fit fine. I've installed sever JVT 3 rows at the shop, and the lower support lip needs to be pounded back like the Mishimoto, but the shroud bolted up just fine and I had no issues with the axillary fans on any of the 3 rows I installed here. I dont know what additional cost you incurred since there's nothing that incurrs additional cost, just some modification on the 3 row, but not the 2 row

It can be different shipped out of Ca. since outside california doesnt get charged tax, but depending on how far you are the cost of the shipping may equal the Cal. taxed price.
The Spearco style intercooler should fit right there in the front like any of the others, but its not a "bolt on kit". YOu'll have to make your own brackets. All the intercoolers listed are just the intercoolers

I purchased the 3 row before you made the 2 row available. The whole basis for me deciding to purchse the radiator was the 'drop in' install. Pounding the lower radiator support into submission and drop in are not the same thing. Also this is an auto tranny install and I have cooler lines going through that area so it isnt an option. Extra cost is re-fabbing the lower mount which moves the radiator closer to the engine. Too close for the clutch fan and shroud to work. Unexpected cost of adding e-fan kit. Also, included mounts.....

Yeah the JVT 3 row IS NOT drop in, I didnt say the 3 row was drop in. But like I mentioned other than the lower lip pounding I was able to use the stock fan and shroud just fine in 2 cars w/ the 3 row. The only issue is the lip and mounts

Wow, really??
After those last 2 remarks I rescind all good comments I have ever made about your shop/store. I will make sure that I will never send another dollar your way. There are too many other places that would rather take my money.
I made my posts just making a statement that it isnt 'drop-in' as advertised when I purchased it. Really not a huge deal, a PITA but nothing I cant work around. Sucks that I have to spend more money but lesson learned on my part. I was willing to forigve it as an over-sight. Now you want to step up and say you have never claimed it was a 'drop in' when your first post still has the JVT radiators listed as a drop in affair with your custom brakets. It states nothing about the 3 row needing modification to fit. Nor did it state that when I made my purchase.
I dont know what those brackets were made for, but they dont fit a JVT 3 row radiator. Anyone with eyes can see there is a 1/2" difference between them and that they wont work. Again, wasnt a big deal. I keep the same aluminum stock in my shop just to make various little brackets. Figured I would make them when it was time. Now your going to post that you test fit them?!?
If you can come up with this much bullshit over something small, I would hate to see what you spew out when you have a real problem present itself. It seems you have no customer relations skills at all.

Holy crap Kckazdude! What are you smoking? Last 2 posts? I dont know what your reading but I wasnt talking shit to you. Seriously just read them. I see what your saying though> I checked the first page and it does say "JVTs radiators fit perfectly, better than Mishimoto or Megans" which was a mistake to write on my part because I always tell people the 3 row isnt a direct fit, I was thinking of the 2 row when I wrote that. However when I get PMs from people who want to buy a 3 row I make it clear to them its not a direct drop in. If you dont believe me, let the those who PMed me about the 3 row speak up and verify that. But l will have to change the first post about that, especially since I dont sell JVT anymore. But accusing me of making up bullshit!? THAT is bullshit, what I tell you IS NOT bullshit. Come on, how would I be able to make mounts if I didnt check them to begin with? I "make up" something about test fitting? Here let me show you some pictures, this is how I KNOW that the fan fits and how I test my brackets:
http://c3.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images02/47/l_1dec535b3544441b9c5f9379697a8cfe.jpg

Looks like it fits. I dont "bullshit". So you could talk to me normally, what is the problem you have with the mounts, you said the mounts dont fit? Now, the mounts are made to fit tightly so are you really sure they dont fit? The rubber is really thick, but its very squishy and not dense so its supposed to squish down on the tank to compact the rubber. If you thought they just plop on then I can see why you think the mounts dont fit. Press them down, if they didnt fit as tight as they do, the rad would flop around too much from the excessively soft rubber. Can you see how much the rubber squishes on the last pic?
Here's another one where you can see the axillarys fans fitting. Its the best shot I have of it.

Noticed no fan shroud (and I know why).
I went over to see KcKazdudes rad and help him install it as I made the mishi fit in mine. Its actualy a bit worse than I thought.
Similarities to the mishimoto:
Oversized endtanks that hit the rad support (galvanic corrosion)
Incorrect shroud bungs that stick out wayyy too far (shroud won't fit)
requirement to beat the hell out of the lower frame to get it in (try not to hit the condensor!)
It will hit the hood, and keep it from closing, If you don't shave the lower isolators.
The most noteable difference is the lower pegs are impropperly aligned and will require them to be removed and rewelded, or major modification to the lower mounts, over an inch out of spec. (using my new Koyo rad for referance)
Grimsta are you SURE you sent him a supra spec radiator?
Grimsta
06-03-2009, 06:01 PM
LOL, actually that car didnt have a fan shroud to begin with. I didnt send the product, it was sent straight from JVT. But the part number is on the box. It should read like JVT-86TS3 or something like that for the 3 row and 2 for the 2 row. If JVT were still around I would tell them to send him another one. The pics of the radiator in the read car I put up is the 3 row and I didnt haven ANY of those problems you mentioned except for the lip hammering. Here is all I've ever had to do to put the JVT 3 row or Mishimoto rad in.
1. Fab top mounts
2. Pound lower lip
I certainly havent had any issues with it hitting the hood on the Mishimoto or JVT. Although when first installed it certainly looked like it would and I was expecting it to, but no. I've always been able to close the hoods just fine on all 3 cars that I've put these rads into.
I do know fluke problems come up sometimes. One customer bought a JVT fwd SR20DE header and he said the 2 outter most bolt holes didnt line up. So before I sold anymore I asked JVT for a sample header so I could verify this problem precisely because I didnt want there to be issues (like this) with other people's products. Well they sent me the SR20 header, I put it on my G20 and no problems at all. Slid right on and I had a nice header on in about an hour. Since then I had sold several other headers and no one else had that same problem with the bolt holes. So I dont know what goes on in manufacturing plants to make 1 item out of a whole batch be that bad. But you know what. I may still be able to get them to send him another one. The company that bought JVT is DNA Motoring and they're not doing the radiators right now (or so they say) but if I raise hell with them to warranty their defective product they may do it. Then again they may not even have any radiators at all, but its worth a shot

Just to clarify my position here, When I purchased this radiator I was watching the Mishimoto debacle on ms07s' car. At the time I was looking into purchasing this radiator statements like this were made:
This is a JVT Racing 3 Row Rad. I'm direct with the guys there and they actuallly race there cars instead of just showing an orange S13 that doesnt perform so they know how to make stuff. Its fitment is like the Mishi's minus the lower frame hammering, lol. Customer top mounts are needed. I'm workin w/ Dean to get them to incorporate the OEM top mounts but for now if you want a very cheap (just a little more than Mishi) 3 row rad that just needs custom top mounts,
Of course, pretty much the same thing as the Mishi although minus the frame hammering.
Our radiators are locally fabbed in northern california. We basically copied JVTs rad because it fit better than Mishimoto's and offer it at the lowest price in the history of Supras!! Our 2 row core 2.75" thick. JVT's 3 row is 2.8" so you're getting basically the same size rad with larger core openings to flow more water for less. You cant use the OEM mounts for our rads but TOP MOUNTS ARE INCLUDED!
So what do you get here? A gigantic radiator that fits the fan shroud AND comes with top mounts for $210 shipped!
This led me to purchase the radiator and set it off to the side for a few months while I assembled my car and ran lots of hose and coolers in the front of the car. Pounding the 1/2" lip on the bottom of the lower rad support wouldnt be an issue except I already provisioned that space for my auto tranny coolers that are mounted between the A/C condensor and radiator. My mistake was not checking radiator fitment before routing my hoses. The good news is I will still be able to use this radiator as it is a nice peice. I beleive it was fabbed to fit a MKIII Supra as everything is somewhat in the correct area. I just wont be able to use those provisions (fan shroud mounts and factory fan) for my specific application.
Ace is in contact with me through PM and we may be able to work something out amicably between us. Will keep this updated.

Someone explain to me why KAAZ Supra Diff's are good... over stock ect?
Grimsta
06-09-2009, 10:01 AM
KAAZ diffs are really tough and 2 ways.
Yeah I said all that stuff about the 3 row when I found out about JVT carrying Supra rads. I had known someone with it and they didnt have to modify that, but later found out it was the 2 row that was the problem free one. JVT had even given me incorrect info as to the sizes of the cores at the beginning which I later went back and corrected. But I have some good news about some other rads.
CX Racings 2" core radiator has factory style top mounts and doesnt need anything to be pounded. Someone is putting one in his car right now and told me it bolted right in because of the factory style top mount. That was a surprise to me as I didnt believe they had factory style top mounts. I still havent been able to put a CX in a customer's car yet but I have a guy who I suspect wants to upgrade his rad. soon. The only issue with the CX rad right now is the bottom bolt of the Aux. fans not lining up all the way. So I'm asking for pics and figuring out why. Might just have to manipulate the bracket a little or something

Ok, so some news on CX Racing's radiator
Here you got the fan and aux fan
http://imgcash4.imageshack.us/Himg26/scaled.php?server=26&filename=dsc00142b.jpg&xsize=640&ysize=480
bottom bolt hole is a bit high
http://imgcash4.imageshack.us/Himg30/scaled.php?server=30&filename=dsc00139n.jpg&xsize=640&ysize=480
you can bend the bracket to reach the hole pretty easily:
http://imgcash1.imageshack.us/Himg44/scaled.php?server=44&filename=dsc00153i.jpg&xsize=640&ysize=480
Next Step: While the top mounts fit the radiator, they do not reach the stop support bar correctly:
http://imgcash6.imageshack.us/Himg32/scaled.php?server=32&filename=dsc00147xgp.jpg&xsize=640&ysize=480
http://imgcash6.imageshack.us/Himg195/scaled.php?server=195&filename=dsc00148sil.jpg&xsize=640&ysize=480
http://imgcash2.imageshack.us/Himg188/scaled.php?server=188&filename=dsc00162vos.jpg&xsize=640&ysize=480
http://imgcash4.imageshack.us/Himg193/scaled.php?server=193&filename=dsc00163a.jpg&xsize=640&ysize=480
as you can see, they don't line up:
http://imgcash1.imageshack.us/Himg31/scaled.php?server=31&filename=dsc00158z.jpg&xsize=640&ysize=480
SOLUTION: drill or punch a small hole where the bolt would go with the way the mounts sit now. Get some self tapping lag screws and screw into hole.
and just to end on a good note, the fan shroud does fit:

Can you get D2 coilovers or K-sports? Yeah I know they suck but I'm curious. Also sent you a PM on some quotes.
Grimsta
06-20-2009, 02:51 PM
Actually I can, but I refuse to sell them because YOU WILL regret buying them when your car is bouncing all over the round and wheels rubbing your fenders and bottoming out.... yes you will
SupraOfDoom
06-20-2009, 03:19 PM
Really? I haven't really heard many reviews to be honest. I just don't want those Megan spring rates driving around this area that would be a nightmare. I just want some medium spring rated coilovers that are good and not up the ass.
Grimsta
06-22-2009, 12:16 PM
If you want comfortable coilovers I'd recommend Tein's. But they're pricey. Gotta pay to play tho. KSports will have you bottoming out and rubbing everywhere if your roads are as bad as you say comparing to the Megans. At least you wont bottom out and rub w/ Megans but it will be really stiff
SupraOfDoom

Grimsta
06-30-2009, 04:11 PM
A-1 racing is a circle track part company. I deal with a local sprint car part supplier on high quality fittings and some other parts. We could probably make the same thing A1 sells. I would just need to find the right heim joint, spindle bracket and length of rod. All in all, not too hard. Just have to get the time to take the measurements of everything and I dont have ANY extra time right now what with making the cooling panels. So if someone has the A1 ones and want to send me all the dimensions of the heim joint & length of the rod I could put one together

http://c1.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images02/112/l_7066d4d1b1ce4bb6a83f1237f4fd95dc.jpg
Now its been debateable if this actually does anything at all. Even tho 7Ms dont suffer from poor oiling problems, incase you want to eliminate that banjo bolt we got a kit made now. We use either XRP or RedHorse with Russel fittings and either DPI or XRP hose. All the above companies are used on sprint cars so rest assured its race grade material. Not pictured are the 2 -AN fittings that go on the pump and block. EVERYTHING is included to put this thing right in
OIL PAN CLEARANCE ISSUE??- There shouldnt be any problem with the Russel banjo fitting replacement, its lower profile. The one I had to use on my engine was this gigantic steel piece of crap because I didnt have the Russel fittings so I had to pound my pan a little on the corner. But Russell should be 100% go! :)

To the California Bay Area? no it would be $197. I need to revise my prices as I can do those things for less now :)
The CX rad. retains the fan shroud, the fans bolt up and it has factory style top mounts incorporated in the top. Now about the top mounts, the last person that got one said they were offset from the bolt hole in the rad. support a little. He was able to use his factory top mounts just fine by drilling a small hole where they sat w/ the rad. and use self tapping lag screws from Home Depot

Grimsta
09-21-2009, 11:06 AM
I have a whole new lineup of hoods. I of course still carry Seibon, Extreme Dimension & VIS, but CHASER AERODYNAMICS has brought out alot more hoods and options. I used to carry Extreme Carbon, but their service is the most gawd awful crap i've ever dealt with. Like they really dont want to sell anything, no return emails, no return phone calls, EVER. So here's some photos from Extreme Dimensions and Chaser Aero with some prices... expect shipping to be about $160, but PM me for exact pricing:

do you know how much each hood weighs?
Grimsta
09-23-2009, 10:24 AM
UPdated the prices on CHASER hoods to out the door prices!
For weight, I can tell you the CHASER FRP Drift hood weighs 18lbs. All the other Chaser hoods weigh about 20-21lbs. Not sure on the Extreme Dimensions, but it would make sense that they weight the same as the other Chaser hoods. JuanJZ has the GT Concept hood in carbon, hopefully he sees this thread and chimes in w/ the weight, if not I can PM him
As for my front page here. I'm going to redo a bunch of things. Put up new things, take down old things, and update pricing on other things. Bear with me as there's alot to do

I know the Chaser hoods fit pretty nice because I have one. And JuanJZ has the Extreme Dimensions hood and it has fit great for him as well.
As with any hood, pins and/or locks are always recommended. DONT just rely on the stock latch. I sell Aerocatch "aerodynamic" pins now. They're pretty nice and very affordable. Probably around $50 or less shipped

yes, just like posted on the front page. I actually have another bolt on kit available that I need to put up there from CX Racing that CX says fits better than that one. CX has the same kit as GodSpeed available + this other one that is set up like the stock system. W/ inlet and outlet on the same side and pipes route the same way as stock. It costs less than that one too.

Hey Grimsta how do you connect the harness to the harness bar that you have listed. Interested in a harness bar for autocross but don't know how they hook the belts to it Same way any other harness loops onto any other harness bar. According to cx website aswell as eBay, there are two bolt on kits...

http://www.cxracing.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=CXR&Product_Code=KIT-7MGTE-IC10-IC0010-25-A&Category_Code=ICKTY
the first kit looks like it doesn't replace the pipe on the turbo...the second looks much better thought out but I'd like to know if you have any personal experience with either...I'm in need of a kit but the pictures they supply kinda suck
Grimsta
12-09-2009, 09:15 AM

12-09-2009, 03:37 PM
Which kit would you recomend for bpu...and do you know for sure that it replaces every stock pipe? I'm kinda anal about this because I don't have time to screw around:-(.
I'd need a throttle body pipe without the stock bov provision as I'll be going with a diff bov...
Sorry if I'm being a pain....but I'm digging your prices
Grimsta
12-09-2009, 07:53 PM
I know the Spearco style kit replaces every hose/pipe. I'll ask about the other kit. I'd recommend the Spearco style one anyways.
I'll see if they can do a pipe w/o the BOV provision, but the kits are built the way they are and thats the way they are. If they started modifying their products to everyone's needs then their stuff would cost alot more and be custom. Not really "out of the box" products. But i'll see, if they cant, worst case is you put a cap on it.
Grimsta
12-10-2009, 11:25 AM
Ok the Spearco style one DOES replace all the piping, the other one that is like GodSpeed's doesnt replace the first hose/pipe on the turbo outlet, but it does replace the hose/pipe that then connects to that one and goes to the intercooler inlet.
For the TB pipe, they have them flanged for an HKS BOV or stock one. He said remembering they had a few w/o any flange but he has to dig those up and see if they still have them

do you have any videos on how the exhaust setups sound?
Thanks!I dont, and I dont believe CX does either. Have you tried searching YouTube? I would imagine it being pretty similar to the S13 one we have in house, but with the deeper tone of the 7M over the KA24. I've heard the RSR and in comparison of the MKIII RSR to the CX on our S13 they were pretty similar. Its not a hush hush exhaust if thats what you're looking for, if you want a quiet exhaust, the Tanabe Touring Medallion would be up your alley!
hey are your your front and rear bushing sets the same as driftmotions or no?If you are talking about Driftmotion's ENERGY SUSPENSION bushings then yes, these are the same. ENERGY only makes 1 bushing set (front & rear) for the MKIII
If some1 were to buy multiple items in one purchase... could you lower the price at all?Depends what they are. We dont really combo most items because we already slash our prices so low, we dont get rich on parts at all. Let me know what you're looking at and i'll see what I can do
