wheel offset

I am looking at some 17x8 and 17x9 wheels with +38 offset. I used a wheel offset calculator (google it) and it should fit, but will it look right? Seems +35 is the best, but will the +3 make a big difference?

That's just about perfect for the MkIII. :boink: You should go with 235's up front, and 275's in the rear, or 265's (the latter being just a tad shorter than the 235's) You might have a little rubbing issue up front, if your Sup is lowered agressively. But, it will be on the inner fender liner, nothing a heat gun, and a baseball bat can't fix! :icon_razz

a +36 offset on a Supra SUCKS. I run a set of 17x9 cobra r wheels with a +36mm offset and they stick in too deep. I have another set that was PERFECT, 17x9 cobra Rs with a +24mm offset. Oh, BTW I run 17x9 all around with 255/40-17 all around as well. Why run a 235? I am also lowered and rub only on the inner fender liner when the steering wheel is turned a full turn in either direction.

I'm just learning about wheel sizing. The higher the offset, the further the rim is pushed into the wheel well? And then what are offset limits for this car? I keep seeing rims I'd want but the offset is 40-42. GrassyAss

Breezen, do you have any pics I could look at to tell what it would look like? Damn 265 is WIDE. I think i need more power to justify that. Hmmm...265 is not that wide really, but my last car weighed more than 1000 pounds less than my supra! Not really used to cars with an easy 300hp.
