I was just wondering what your thoughts on my upgrades were for this
winter, and what tool would be the best to manage my air/fuel and rev limiter.
I have a stock 1JZ in my MK3 and I purchased alot of parts over the years
but never had time to install them until now.
So far, I have the fallowing parts on my car:
- HKS Super Dragger 3'' exhaust system
- HKS 3'' Down pipe
- HKS SSQV BOV
- High flow Magnaflow cat
- 24x12x4 FMIC
- 2.5'' hard pipes
This winter I will install the fallowing:
- Walbro 255 fuel pump
- 550 MK4 injectors with resistor pack
- Aeromotive fuel pressure regulator with a liquid filled fuel Gauge
- Air Fuel Ratio Gauge
- 264 HKS bump sticks (cams)
- Y Pipe Down Pipe ''from George raptor racing''
- HKS Boost Controller
- Greedy BCC
I'm automatic with a stock tranny and I'm not ready for a full stand alone yet. I need a piggyback to control my air/fuel and rev limiter. I'm keeping the twins until I blow them up, I wanna boost them at 16-18psi.
A friend of mine suggested me the emanage bleu or ultimate.
I would like you guys to tell me what you think, and I would also like to here from people who have auto 1JZ's in thier cars and what are your setups.
Thanks in advance.

By control your rev-limit I assume you mean raise it? I don't think that can be done with a piggyback. Your closest bet would be to buy a chipped ECU off the forums. You can find them with raised limits, and tuned for 550s with a little patience.
Everything else looks like a decent setup though.

Yes I mean raising the rpm's since I'm putting cams in it. Sorry if I wasn’t clear enough.
I have an auto 1JZ and the ecu's for manual and auto aren't the same so I presume that a chipped auto ecu is hard to find so, where can I get my ecu chipped so I can rev my 1JZ to 8000rpm's?
Thanx.

I think a standalone is your best option.
IIRC Mine's still does ECU modding but why ship your ECU overseas, what a while, and pay 1000+ when you could have bought a standalone instead and be better off.
I don't remember the last time I saw a modded auto ECU for sale.

im with joe, ive never seen a modded auto ecu, you could try browsing yahoo japan, but im on there every day and havent seen any.
with the auto your best bet would be standalone or piggyback to raise your limiter and tune the fuel out

You are still on stock twins I take it? If so, there is no reason to raise rev limit as the twins will die out at around 6200rpm anyway.
Anyways, go for the emanage blue or an afc, you wont need anything fancy.

The stock twins will not die off at 6200RPM. The stock cams will cause power to die around that RPM.
The stock twins can keep and boost and power up past 8k if the cams will allow it.

I got 264"s to put in so that's why I want to raise my rev limiter.
As I thought, and like ZaZan told me, an emanage blue or ultimat would be just fine?

yes those will work but you can't raise the rev limiter with a piggy back. i had the EMB and i loved it i wish i didn't get rid of it :(
