i was woundering how many pounds of boost the stock 2jz turbos can hold?

Depends. Are you talking USDM turbos, or JDM turbos?Aristo, or Supra turbos?

1JZ = CT12A, Supra 2JZ = CT12B, Aristo 2JZ = CT20something

Τalking about sequential twin turbos...we have;

Supra tt JDM....with CT12B (import type-ceramic shaft and blades)
---------------------------
These turbos have a quicker spool up than the export spec.,but they
can't hold the elevated boost that the export twins can.
JDM twins can boost safely up to about 16 psi..


Supra tt non JDM...with CT12B (export type-steel shaft and blades)
------------------------------
These turbos haven't got the much earlier spool up of the JDM ones,
but can hold a little more boost.
Export twins can boost safely up to about 19 psi

Aristo tt only JDM...with CT20A (steel shaft and ceramic blades)
-------------------------------
These turbos have the best of the two worlds (JDM + Export)
They have steel shafts and ceramic blades! They can hold the
added boost safely up to 18 psi and still spoolling early,like the
JDM supra's twins!

Aristo tt only JDM...with CT20B (steel shaft and blades)
-------------------------------
They are the same as the JDM supra twin turbo.
At least they have same shafts and blades.Toyota from 1993 continued
their Import (JDM) 2JZ-GTE twin turbos (Aristo+Supra) with only one
setup of twins...ceramic blades and shafts..only ceramic stuff :sarcasm:
