I just replaced my plugs and wires today with msd wires and nippondenso platinum tipped plugs gapped at .32 the car runs really smooth when driving it around but when it is idling it has a really faint missfire i have no idea hat mite becausing it. any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

I hate to say this, but the MSD wires may be at fault...

wouldn't be the first time where somone had a misfire from aftermarket wires...

pretty sure stock gap is .31.

also, i recall reading that platinum plugs were not the best choice for the 7m.

platinum is stock (as are the denso plugs), and you're right, .031 is correct...

Thank you all for th replies i put back the old denso irradiums the motor came with re gapped them to .31 and now it seems to idle fine. mow just need to save up for some new irradiums.
