i'd rather not post on there, because i have no reputation, if someone there is a member and wants to most it there, i'd have no problem with that
can you link the post giving prices and info?

I may want them. I'd need to see a few pictures of the front of the car with them on, and the low and high beams on a wall or on the street.

CK is the deal... I'm in for almost whatever he sells ;-)
I'd like to have HIDs in both the MKIII and MKIV.
MKIII - Want better lighting (like newer cars) and to work like stock without blinding people (high beam and low beam)... Recommendation? Write-up? Housings purchased separately?
MKIV - Using Sylvania 9006s now.. HID options?

Satan: get the Hella E-codes from here: http://www.rallylights.com/hella/200mm.asp
They get a bixenon H4 kit from Chris in a 4300K (that's stock for all HID systems), or you can get 6000K's for more bluish white...
Fogs will need an H3 kit in 3000K if you want yellow. Foglight rewire is required with HID's, and you'll need to use a resister to get the high bea indicator to work.
On the MKIV, you'd use HID's for low beam, and a good halogen for the high's (rapid on/off isn't good for the HID's, and HID's have to warm up)
Not sure on the plug style for the MKIV though...

mkiv is def 9006 for lows and H3 for fogs i think.
for the MKIV lows, youre gonna want a D2S with a casper sheild/adaptor. this will let you use a GENUINE D2S bulb and not some rebased unit built made in a sweat shop.
in addition to HID"s needing to warm up, they have to cool down too. if you cycle them on and off rapidly, the metal halide inside condenses on the capsule itself and sullies the light color and output. eventuall, your 5000k will look like a old, worn out Flourescent light with a white/pink color.

MKIV's have projectors for lowbeam...

On that same page, they have these DOT-approved ones... Are they the same or does the E-code do something different (only ~$2 difference)?
