Is it just my car, or does everyone elses car have a heat soaked engine bay?
Is it normal to have a really hot hood?
This kinda bugs me that my car runs fine but the engine bay is hot as fuck.
Pointers and advice is/are welcome.

I have always had turbos, but the same problems have been there, I am about to finish up my build and I had my exhaust manifold, turbo exh housing, and DP ceramic coated. I hope this will combat some of the heat. I also installed a new big IC and Koyo rad to aid in overall cooling. I hope for some good results.

Yea, engines produce heat...
Is your car overheating?

nope, not at all. maybe its just that the damn engine produces a hell of alot of heat. also, my shifter tends to be on the hot side aswell, does it need new oil or something?

Are you missing the hood pad? I went without one for awhile and the paint on my hood was damaged over time from the heat. After re-paint and new pad no more discoloration.

Yes, it's pretty normal to have a hot, heat soaked engine bay, especially on turbo models.
Some ways to combat this are to:
open up exhaust restrictions.
Ceramic coat your exahust parts, wrap them too.
Do the same for your heat shields.
Vented hood/headlights.
