All right...before anyone yells at me... I learned my lesson!
Today I was running errands for my mom and I was in the bank drive through when I smelled burning coolant, I look down and ym temp gauage is over the double red line. I quickly shut my car off and push it into a parking spot.
Coolant is shooting out of the overflow tank and burning on the hot radiator. I was completely out of coolant, so I walked over to the store and bought some coolant. I noticed my oil pressure was low as well so I got a quart of oil to put in and I drove it home. When I got home I was tinkering around under the hood and realised my engine fan has a short and I found exactly where it is.
I got my fan fixed, but when I started the car again, a light came on, on the left hand side of the dashboard. It kind of looks like a mini radiator with the cap off. I have no idea what that means at all... my oil pressure is still at 0 so I plan on doing an oil change tomorrow. The temp gauge is back to normal and there isn't a knocking sound or even a faint clicking sound, so I think I saved the internals by shutting the car off emediatly.
But what does that light mean!?

Well thank you guys, my bird has been given water and the light shut off. but now my oil pressure is back down at 0 after raising a bit. I'm going to give it an oil change or spend like $30 and have it done by a shop (cuz im lazy) and then hope it works. I just hope nothing was damaged

did you just put in plain water??
it takes at most 10 mintues to do a oil change, dont waste your money letting a shop do it.

use distilled water
do your own change, that way while you're under the car, you can diagnose whay your Oil pressure gauge is reading 0.

I honestly doubt it has anything to do with mechanics...
I think its electrical, as in your gauge isnt receiving a good signal from the sender

Oil starvation can cause overheating... It definitely could be a mechanical problem.

like I said, it could be bad wiring

If there's one thing I've learned it's that a 7M is not a good choice for the lazy. Better get used to popping the hood for oil checks on a regular basis at the very least. :)

Use German Castrol [It says Made in Germany on the back] or
AMSoil Series 2000. Both are 0w30.
Thats what I'm gonna run once I finish my rebuild/break-in.

Hopfully you didn't run it out of oil:3d_frown: Check on the header side over the block, below the distrubutor, there is a single wire that goes to a round sending unit, it slides off towards the wire. Check to see if it is making good contact, its the oil sending unit. If the oil hasn't been changed for a good while the oil filter could also be plugged up.

It is possible your guage is bad. Ive been driving on a bad guage for over 5 years. The dealer can't even special order one here and Ive tried a few from the junkyard, all bad. I metered the wires from the cluster to the sending unit and changed the sending unit twice. You might have to use an aftermarket one if its bad. I havn't tried to get a new one from the USA yet.

Oil pressure doesn't get really drop until you lose like 2 or more quarts.

Sorry for the no replies it's been a heel of a few weeks. I did an oil change when I first got the car, and it did that whole thing about a month after the car. I did an oil change and the pressure gauge is still at 0. So I'm going to guess its a wireing problem? But I don't know. My oil is brand new and its not low at all.

Did you check your wire on the pressure sending unit below the distributor???
